Hey guys maybe Chicago is just good??

Entity

Hall of Famer
all this sky is falling crap is getting on my nerves over a 10pt loss to a great team. Chicago just beat the Clippers by 13 on a night where Griffin scored 34 pts and Paul had 14 assist and as a team shot 51%. seriously we missed 14 freethrows and made several mistakes that are easy fixes with a small amount of time. Chicago won more games last year than anybody. we are better but not at that level yet and we were right there. BTW the guy that puts emphasis on +/- Derrick rose only starter for chicago in the - with a -1. So I guess that means Tyreke is best defender ever? not sure anyway. seriously lets give our guys a chance our first four games are very tough for a team with several new pieces and new roles including 2 new starters. It takes more than 3 weeks not to mention our starters had exactly 3 days together as a unit before the lakers game.

I couldn't agree more.

The Bulls are a legit title contender, have a lot of experience and have been playing together for more than one complete season. We on the other hand have a team with 7 new players, 2 of them starters(John and Chuck), two 20mpg guys in Jimmer and Hickson, a backup in Outlaw and two youngsters in Isiah and Honeycutt. It is going to take some time to get the right rotations and getting used to each other.

We need games to develop a good chemistry, so give this team some more time develop. After 10-15 games we can really form an opinion about this team.

I also totally agree.

With all the over-analysis of the game, the fact is, all we had to do was hit free throws to win. We miss 4 free throws, instead of 14, and we're goin' to overtime. Considering how GOOD Chicago is, that's rather comforting.....

Ditto ya’ll.

Score wise, we played them better than the highly rated Clippers and if you factor in a horrific free throw night, we played them much better. There’s a lot to look forward this season.

I have no problem with losing to a a great team like the Bulls by 10 points, its how we lost that pissed me off. Selfish play from all our stars, this team doesn't trust eachother, and it rubs of in other areas like transition defense. If everyone trusted eachother and didn't worry about getting their own touches, we would be a top 8 team in the west no doubt, until that happens, "we are young, we have to learn from these losses" will be an eternal safety net for these players. As much as I don't like Westphal, i commend him for saying that "we are young" is no longer an excuse.

+1 Sir. I don't care about losing to the Bulls. Legit title contender with the MVP. It's just how we lost, and knowing that if we had played real ball and not selfish, every guy trying to be his own hero, not making freethrows (they make our FT problems with the old Kings look like nothing), and that we could have won very easily if played right.

So yeah. I don't think it's about losing to the Bulls, it's just the form and gameplay that is worrying to some.

Westphal is still a bad coach, Reke still has a ton of warts on his game, but I agree with OP.

I'm going to wait until bad teams start beating us until I panic. Lakers, Blazers, and Bulls are all great teams....There are two contenders and one team that will probably at least make the western semis that we played. We beat the Lakers, and had moments against the other two. I think we're better than last year, and we'll start seeing that once we play teams that are closer to our talent level.

My biggest problems with the Kings' play so far has been thier FTs and transisiton defense. As for their lack of being on the same page offensively, I would have been surprised to see them playing well together consistently this early in the season. When you consider their youth, new players, and bad coaching, it will take awhile for thier offense to come together. On top of that, defnesives almost always are better early in the season with offensives catching up as teams play together. The shortened pre-season only makes that more true. Making any rush conclusions after only a few games is a mistake. I've said it before, but panic always leads to bad decisions.

Point of opinion:

The refs GREATLY assisted the Kings in keeping close with the Bulls.
If the calls went the way they normally do, the Bulls would have won by over 20.
And IMO the Bulls weren't playing very well.

Don't take much solace or comfort in the fact that the game was within 10.

Are our cheerleaders ugly too?

Actually, one of them was in a play with my son, so they're cool this year - less plasticky than in previous versions.

But way to digress and dodge the point being made - bravo on that.

Is it becoming illegal to be realistic on KF's?

someone needs to take off their pink glasses - what did you expect from this team win a western confernce?!
This team right now is borderline 8th seed just deal with it.

It wasn't that bad of a game against the bulls but losing because of free throws, and being too lazy to get back on defense did show me one thing. This team has the talent to do great things but doesn't have the coaching.

Maybe a little more "glass is half full" would go down a little smoother. But that's just me voicing my opinion - that's not illegal either.

there ya go

Losing is one thing. How you lose, is another.

We had many chances to get them by the throat and take the lead, effectively shifting the momentum.

Instead our lack of discipline and lack of coaching prevented us from even being competitive. Lack of discipline on the defensive end, especially during fast breaks.

Yet, we make free throws, and we win. Jus' sayin'...
