Hey Geoff, make another move!

Fresno King

Starter
I hope Petrie is at least ATTEMPTING to get us another pick or working on some sort of trade to get back in this draft. One pick and out will NOT sit well with me. How about all of you???

I have an idea.

Let's trade Spencer Hawes a 2009 second round pick. That's all he is worth.

I said this in the draft thread, but how about Nick Fazekas!

Imagine a Spencer Hawes / Nick Fazekas tandem!

Its like the twin towers were reincarnated!!!!!

I hate this pick! Hawes gets no love from me, if he wants love hes gotta earn it. he better play some dam defense and grab some dam boards! this is stupid, we should have just packed it in and traded our 10th pick for a first next year so we could pull something like ATL did with having 2 lotto picks.

Yeah it's a little annoying how it seems like Petrie is sitting on his hands once again. The time to strike is NOW!!!

Maybe it's time to pull the trigger on the rumored Artest to Miami trade now that they have something we could use, Jason Smith.

This is really irritating! 1 freaking draft pick! 1!!!!! I'm okay with the Hawes pick but for gods sake get another dang pick! Do something already!

I'm pretty sure he's at home with a scotch right now. He'll probably take in a movie in a bit...

Given that you just saw the Spurs able to draft Tiago Splitter at #28, I am thinking we could not have been too serious about getting another pick. Picks that late do not cost THAT much, if you are serious. But we never are. In Geoff's entire reign he has never made such a trade, and yes, I think there's a fair chance he is already home with his scotch and glad that that mean old nasty draft thing he has to do every year is over.

Kings being passive like always.. they'll just be satisfied with picking up leftover undrafted scraps. BOOOO..

maloofs have their purse straps tight can't you tell?? if they opened it up and told petrie to get it done. i'm sure there would be more movement

Don't think you can blame this one on the Maloofs. We have a lot of room under the tax this year -- more than enough to be making these type moves. If we really wanted too of course.

I wonder if VF knows anything she usually has good sources. i def wouldnt mind a trade in the works, it would be much needed.

You guys are WAY off base. Just because no trades have been successfully negotiated DOES NOT MEAN Petrie hasn't been trying. From what I heard, he did try most of the evening and may in fact still be at work trying to get something done. Let's not assume that we know everything that's going on simply because nothing has been reported.

Thanks...

That's still pretty sad, shows how much value our roster has :(

LOL, that is SOOOO true! petrie loves picking through leftovers looking for that gem. :p

Exactly :D

The Sonics are securing the #2 and #5 player in the draft...WOW!

The Warriors get busy and add two VERY exciting prospects after their great playoff run...WOW!!!

The Blazers get the #1 pick, and still go out and buy a player! WOW! WOW!

Meanwhile, over in Kings land....let's see who can we invite to a pre-training camp off the draft reject list!

What upsets me is that this team needs change in the worst way. Going into next season with a roster that looks like the one that ended last season is just inexcusable. Sitting around while Portland buys first round picks with cash is just inexcusable. If these guys (Artest and Bibby) aren't worth what Petrie thinks, then he's just wrong and he needs to move them for whatever they're worth. I'm not willing to give Petrie yet another pass for "trying." He needs to get something done.

And then draft the same type of player! What a weird draft, my head hurts.

Well VF, what is fairly disheartening and concerning is that Petrie is trying to make deals and nobody is biting. It appears that we have players with negligible or no value. And that is a real bummer. This rebuilding could take a lot longer than everyone thinks.
