http://www.kingsfans.com/forums/showpost.php?p=625528&postcount=506Well now...Some interesting match-ups here. Have you found my island yet Brick? As you know, it is heavily fortified by my telepathic super clones, astral projection portals, and cloaking force fields. If you do manage to find us we will have seen you coming, and will be prepared. Lets see how the match-ups play out...

Silver Surfer has repeatedly dominated Doctor Doom on several occasions, and his super speed/strength, phasing abilities, and energy projections should leave him mortally and emotionally scared.

Q, while being pretty omnipotent, isn't really evil per se, and I find Franklin Richards to be his perfect foil:). He might even be a bit more taken with my utopian island as to help us without your knowledge.

As for your demon heads, Pumkin and Pin, they know how to enforce pain, but aren't the brightest of fellows, so I'm sure Rachel Summers could rip them apart with her telepathic mind games, and telekinetic fury.

That leaves the Terminatrix and Mini-me left to defeat us. With Sage's defenses in place I'm confident that I could reprogram T-X or at least wipe out he programming with EMP charges and a bit of organized force. If she ever poses a risk to the kids I'll just have Sage teleport her to another part of the universe, like maybe a star or black hole.

Mini Me can be eaten by Aslan, as he doesn't really like dwarves meddling around him:). We all know that deep down inside Mini Me really is just a softie, and he is also prone to change allegiances to which ever team treats him better, and happens to be winning. That looks to be us:).

Sigh. When will they ever learn?

Ignoring for a moment that Doctor Doom has actually stolen the Silver's Surfer's powers in the past until Galactus (not currently present, nor on the right side) bailed Surfboy out, what I see is a goof on a surfboard, a cowardly lion from a children's book who needed a bunch of schoolkids to save his kingdom, and then a collection of the normal obscure comic book types.

And again, like your predecessor, you underestimate the persuasiveness of my arguments at your own peril: :p

Meanwhile on the other side of the bracket I am somehow involved in a tight battle with some group of misfits including George of the Jungle, the Man From Atlantis, a gay drunk pirate with no powers whatsoever, and a whiny teenager with daddy issues, all led by some dude in a wheelchair. ;)

We resent this. ;)

And you forgot Hulk. He doesn't like being left out. :p

Nothing wrong with obscurity if they can teleport your opponent's entire team into the center of the sun, after stealing all of their powers, and shifting their age to that of embryos, and erasing their memories, and replacing them with a crayfish's, and telekinetically scattering the remains...Just saying, fear the unknown Bricklayer, it will destroy you:).

It's official! Jespher and Kingsnation's heroes are moving on to the next round of the playoffs (the elite eight!). Congrats to Kingsnation!

Bricklayer, you were a worthy opponent. May you have fun with your concubine and midget minion on your own island:).

Wow, I got my vote in and all, but I didn't notice we'd gone down to a 24 hours voting period.

That was due to frequent complaints from Vikinginferno and VF21. It seems to be a fair enough window without clogging the lounge with playoff threads...

Actually no, now that's probably too short. Not contesting the results, but this is the offseason -- many people aren't even on in a 24 hour period. And even I missed a vote simply because I took a look, went ot think about it, and came back to find it was already over. If you are going to do that at the very least in big bold letters at the top you have to have when the polls are going to close. And still you are going to have low turnout just because people aren't always around this time of year.

Its like popping popcorn -- there is little point in popping it for too long as the pops dramatically slow down after hitting their crescendo and you will eventually burn it. But you don't want to turn it off just when it gets popping either. There is a sweet popcorn popping rhythm you have to find. ;)

So how long do you normally cook your popcorn for Bricklayer? I go 3 min, 30 sec usually, unless the microwave is really weak...I'll take your argument into consideration for next round. Maybe 48 hours is the perfect amount, eh?

P.S...What did you have to think about with your vote? Should I vote for my teams, or the other guy?

Congrats to you as well Jespher.

Professor X went to go gather the team for a debrief regarding the Elite 8, but no one could find Captain Jack.

Turns out he was already on the Pearl celebrating. ;)

24 hours is too short for these polls to be open. Not everyone gets to log on here every day (not a problem for me obviously). I think 3-5 days is sufficient.

You must become one with the popcorn young grasshopper.
