How dare we talk about an actual game when trade deadline/options/rumors/scenarios yada yada yada is what we need to focus on now ? Guess what - we have a game tonight. We play Hawks. We beat Hawks because there is just no other option here. They suck and while our rebounding and defense of any kind will not improve - it still has to be enough for the Hawks.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Getting closer to Trade deadline ( for exact reference ask VF21). I am sick of it and so are many others. Some of us like it which is documented on 3267 different threads that we have running at the moment. The point is - there is nothing - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING - we can do but wait and hope that the best decision is made in Kings interest. We have a right man for the job so we should be fine.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It might be me be me but with exception of J. Smith the whole all star weekend sucked. Radmanovic's 6 pts on 3pt shootout, Anderson "dunking" and 43 combined turnover in the Sunday's game - just some of the highlights. BTW I was just informed that Anderson has couple more attempts left - so stay tuned .
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kings on the crosroad with time running out here. Gettin dangerously close to being in danger of missing a PO. 6 game road trip coming up with a realistic potential to turn really ugly if Kings do not wake up NOW. Starts with Dallas on TNT - which is not exactly a great sign. 29 big games and each and every one counts big.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
CW - break was needed and deserved. Hopefully had some shooting practice

Mike - assume he is more motivated because of being left out from all star weekend. Maybe it can get him to play some D. Nah. who am I kidding ? Hit the FTs Mike !

Brad - I assume he shot well this weekend:eek:. Needs to carry that over. I bet - when he was shooting - he was thinking of NBA referees.. Take a pick on that one.

Mobley - had one practice with the team now. One is better than none I guess. Needs to pass the ball once in a while.

Barnes - a big "0" ofensively. He needs to contribute there more.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Evans - needs to be in control more - less "killer" turnovers and fouls
please !

Tag - should play but might not

Darius - will once again be Darius

House - as little as possible please !

Martin - hard to tell

"mateen"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
RA - You have got to do something here. Anything
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hawks have Delk:(
Hawks have Walker:D
And yes - You can expect J. Smith to produce some poster material.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Go Celtics !
Rocketts play Sonics so one has to lose and I hope that Rocketts will

My prediction:

Josh Smith score 8 points on 3/4 shooting-2 dunks one layup 2/4 free throws. 4 rebounds

Josh Childress erupts once again for 13 pts/9 rebounds/1 assist

Antoine Walker scores 28 pts on 11/31 shooting and grabs 8 rebounds

Jason Collier continues the trend of bad big men having career nights with 22/13 on 60% shooting

Tyronne Lue scores 15 pts/6 assists

Kings win it 101-95

I really hope they come out tonight focused. Those last 7 games were hard to take. They should stomp the hawks into the ground... I just hope they do.

Damn, this is the smartest thing I've seen posted in quite some time...couldnt have predicted any better myself...oh, I think that you might have to consider Drobnjak as a favorite to be the 'big white guy' to have a career game against us tonight as much as Collier...but who knows, Collier sorta resembles Bryant 'Big Country' Reeves, who also used to have huge games against us, too, so who knows. Hell, if Joel Przybilla can be Bill Walton against us, then why not Collier.

Nah, Drobnjak historically has had poor games against us, if recall correctly. But then again with our defensive woes and and the fact that we are a different team who know maybe he will have a career night.

naww, drobnjak is an outside player. collier at least has a little bit of inside game.

pryzbilla on the other hand has gone bill walton all over the league in his last several games. with their other big men missing a lot of games he's getting the time he deserves and is showing why he was a lottery pick a few years ago. the man has game but has been in constant injury flux since since he was drafter.

and 85fan, thanks for the proppers bro.

I am just praying for a nice strong win so that we can start focusing on how great our team is instead of who we should trade. Can't wait till the team starts playing like the Kings again (TONIGHT!!l) and the trade deadline is over. This has felt like the longest all star break ever!

Only thing I disagree with is the comment comment on Barnes. He's doing exactly what he's supposed to, which is to grab boards and contest shots. And what's wrong with House? He was a good pickup.

Time for the boys to get back on track and show the NBA they are NOT in full melt down. I nice blow out of the Hawks would be a good start. Smith will get his, but key is for Sac to use the zone, bing in Tag to slow the game and stop up the paint and for god's sake take the ball tp the rack on the offensisve end. Atlanta has shot blockers but otherwise their interior D is not that great... jumpers keep them honest but there is nothing like the high percentage shot to seal the deal. And as always Miller needs to trust his shot more and take all the open looks he can get.

a) You have to at least "pretend' to play offense so You get guarded

b) speak for Yourself

well im very excited about the game tonight...truth is if i had to wait one more day without seeing my boys in action i might of jumped out of a 12th story window

the break was VERY well needed and deserved...for everyone...even the coaches

i suspect Chris to have a good game...shooting better hopefully...im gonna go out on a limb and say tha Mike practiced his FTs this break so hopefully we will see some good results....Brad out of everyone prolly relieved the most stress which for him is a VERY good thing...I definetly believe that Barnesy practiced his shot over the weekend...we need him to attempt and finish some easy buckets...and i agree with piksi (AHHHHH) that Mo has gotta be more in control with less turns ofcourse...i mean we all must not forget that this kid was ballin when he played in Italy...Player of the year and what have you...given its not the NBA but he should be able to give a little more just a little more consistently...DSong...im not worried about Darius as i always love to say...he'll come to play...Tag is Tag....i hope that Kev got over his "flu"...he prolly will get some PT tonight...House is gonna be House....i would love to see Bradley get some PT..i mean we aren't great a rebounding and how could he HURT us, right?....Bobby will be lookin good sitting on the sidelines as always...ED prolly won't have his hair did...and Peja as for Peja....::sigh::...i guess he's not playing tonight but Peja babe you gotta get your GQ butt back in the flow of things...we need ya...and as much as other people disagree i want him to stay and i think he will be good for us the rest of the season (providing he gets healthy)

i really expect the guys to come out and at least START the game with a high level of defense...

Josh Smith will DEFINETLY have some fans in the arena tonight...it'll be interesting to see how well he plays tonight...coming off of all the all star dunk contest hype

GO KINGS!! WOOT WOOT!!

Itis obvious that Adelman and I dissagree on playing Tag, but I WANT to see him play more beceause of what his presence does to teams that like to cut into the paint, he compleetly changes their game and forces them to take outside shots.

I agree with You compleately but I was wondering what Your hope on him playing more is based on ? It is much more likely that he is not going to play any significant minutes.

Ok, Kings...PLAY TONIGHT !!!! ;) Save Sha!!!

All I want is a WIN! We haven't have that many wins lately and with the trade deadline coming close, I don't want to see this forum be all talk about losing and trading.

GOO KINGS!!!

Hmm...I hope Josh Smith do some nice dunks. But hopefully not enough so the Kings can win! ;)

Boastful? I don't think it's boastful. I think it's showing confidence and faith in our team.

IF the Kings don't come out and take care of business tonight IN ARCO against a truly inferior team, this place is going to go berzerk because a lot of people will totally lose faith in the team, the rest of the season, etc.

Actually, NBA rules forbid practice over the break. I believe the only practice was yesterday.

Man, if Peja is not playing and not on the bench RUMORS will fly!!! If you thought it was bad already hang on to your hats!!

Pedja is NOT playing. It's not a rumor. It was announced last night. He is still nursing that hammy injury.
