Hey all,
I'm not sure this should go here, or in the lounge, so I am putting it here (feel free to move it if needed).
About 7 games a year a group of people work one of the consession stands as a fundraiser for a group called Galena Street East. Galena Street East is a song and dance troupe of kids ages 7 to 18. Ever summer they take a tour and travel to someplace far far away. This year they are going to the Baltic Sea on a cruise and will be performing on the Cruise ship as well as wherever they dock. Last year they went to Hawaii, and the year before then went to England and Scotland.
Anyway, a group of about 25 of us work one of the consession stands as a fundraiser for the kids to help pay for their tour. The Kings (and Maloof Sports and Entertainment) split the profits with Galena Street East and each kid gets a portion that goes towards their trip costs.
I have no idea which consession stand we will be working, but tonight is one of those games. There will be a big banner identifying us as volunteers from Galena Street East.
So, the point of this long post is to say, come say hi and buy your refreshments from us tonight. It might be right up the stairs from you, then again it could be across the stadium, but ever little bit helps.
