Uh... greater contributor at what, exactly? Belinelli is a better passer, and that's about it. Shooting percentages, defensive statistics, offensive and defensive ratings, win shares, VORP, Real +/-, etc. all appear to favor McLemore. Not that McLemore is setting anyone's hair on fire, but he appears to be doing more to help the team than Belinelli is.

FWIW, McLemore is forty-third out of eighty-eight shooting guards in RPM. Belinelli is eighty-seventh, one spot behind Sauce Castillo.

I disagree. It's hard to win with your big 3 consisting of Rondo, Gay, and Cousins. (All of whom are ball dominant) Not every coach can draw up a good offensive game plan to incorporate all of these guys and the rest of the team.

Rondo is pure playmaking PG that can't shoot. He limits your floor spacing ability on offense. Gay is a guy scorer who can handle the ball, but you wouldn't make him your point-forward. He's a player that loves to iso within 15ft of the basket, while not passing it very much. Cousins is a guy who loves to get the ball all the time. He likes to pound the ball in the paint and bully his way through defenders.

All of these guys are talented, but not all of the coaches in the NBA could make a good offensive scheme that pushes his players to the max of their potential.

Karl has helped Rondo develop his shooting..his 3pt % is at .368...a career high. This has been Rondo's best season since probably 2011. Rudy has continued to play at a nice level, while having his lowest usage since his Memphis days in 2010. Cousins is still a beast this year. It's hard to evaluate him under Karl because injuries have lingered him. Still doesn't take away the fact that with him, we've been 10-9.

Not to mention Omri is having his best year of his entire career..better than his rookie year..which was really exciting.

Karl had made this team one of the best offenses in the NBA. We're winning partly because of coaching. We've also lost because of coaching..but the blame and credit goes both ways.

There's a lot in this post that I can't disagree with, even as a Karl detractor.

I don't think he's a bad coach. Hell, he was a damn good coach in his prime. I just don't think he's the right coach for this roster. I'm not trying to paint Karl as a Natt or a Westphail.

He does have his bright spots, and he is (very slowly) altering the schemes on both ends of the court. So who knows, he might win us all over yet.

.... I'd still rather have Malone though :p

You know what drives me crazy about this team? You go into Minnesota and drop a hot steamy one at center court, then turn around and play like you could win the East in Toronto. Kings fans are constantly yo-yoing between "blow it up" and "its finally coming together".

I know a lot of people think this is possible. If it was possible, there would be no need to play games. If the team with the better record always wins, there would be no need to play. I am not consistent and I suspect you aren't either. There are days when a person's shooting stroke is on and days when it is not. Matchups can play a big role. Playing back to backs or having your plane come in at 3 AM makes a difference in how a team plays. Motivation can change. The grand old coach of Ohio State football, Woody Hayes, once said "you can't walk around with your fist clenched all the time." There are times when the motivation isn't there.

Imagine what the Toronto fans are saying. They are probably angry that their team lost a home game they should have won. This is life in sports. In the end, a great team will have a great record but that doesn't mean they will win every game they SHOULD win. If, as a fan, we live and die with each game, our life will be shortened. :) I predicted a 1-1 record after the first two of these road games. We lost a game we should have won and won a game we should have lost. We still are 1-1.

Yes but Marko adds something toe team offense that Ben doesn't come near. As I said I am happy with the current division of playing me and who starts. Bn s coming along but it willcntinue to be a slow process and may no get too much mor developed. Bellinelli has his head in the game on both offense and defense, he just doesn't have the physical skills that Ben dos. Stay with the status quo.

We beat the Raptors w/o Lowry (ejection) and Vallucinas (injury). Those are second and third guys in team PER. I am not trying to minimize the win because besides Boogie (average) and Marco (horrible) we'd play really well. Defensively we were sharp and pushed the ball down their throats. But it is incorrect IMO to say this was a game we should lose.
