Bricklayer

Don't Make Me Use The Bat
A pretty entertaining game, but...I think we need to find Reke some teammates who can execute a simple jumper on the drive and kick. They have money on him not getting a triple double tonight or something?

Theme will be, Yummy Recipes I Can Vouch For

Greene ( C ) -- did a solid job defensively, but lack of offensive production limited his minutes. Started getting a ball slapped away on the drive for a turnover, then a little too aggressive on another drive and got it stripped by Artest. Airballed a three. Began the 3rd getting fouled along the baseline, hit both. Missed a layup attempt. Got back to block a shot to save a hoop. Missed the open three from Beno. Fouled on an open court attempt, and split the pair of FTs in the 4th.

Orange Chicken -- this is a really delicious recipe, and easier than you might think after you get the hang of it. Like most chinese cooking, set out and prepare all your ingredients beforehand. Get everything chopped, prepare the sauce, and then the time consumer is really just frying up the chicken chunks.

Ingredients
2 lbs boneless skinless chicken, chopped into bite sized pieces
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
white pepper
oil (for frying)
1/2 cup cornstarch, plus
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup flour
1 tablespoon gingerroot, minced
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon crushed hot red chili pepper
1/4 cup green onion, chopped
1 tablespoon rice wine
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

Orange Sauce for Stir Fry
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons water
10 tablespoons sugar
10 tablespoons white vinegar
2 oranges, zest of

Directions
1)Place chicken pieces in large bowl.
2)Stir in egg, salt, pepper and 1 tablespoon oil and mix well.
3)Stir cornstarch and flour together.
4)Add chicken pieces, stirring to coat.
5)Heat oil for deep-frying in wok or deep-fryer to 375 degrees.
6)Add chicken, small batches at a time, and fry 3 to 4 minutes or until golden crisp.
7)(Do not overcook chicken).
8)Remove chicken from oil with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels; set aside.
9)Clean wok and heat 15 seconds over high heat.
10)Add 1 tablespoon oil.
11)Add ginger and garlic and stir-fry until fragrant; about 10 seconds.
12)Add and stir-fry crushed chiles and green onions.
13)Add rice wine and stir 3 seconds.
14)Add Orange Sauce and bring to boil.
15)Add cooked chicken, stirring until well mixed.
16)Stir water into remaining 1 tablespoon cornstarch until smooth and add to chicken.
17)Heat until sauce is thickned.
18)Stir in sesame oil and orange zest if desired.
19)Serve over jasmine rice.

Landry ( C+ ) -- hey, despite whatever the pregame bravado was about "size doesn't matter" (Jerry apparently is writing his speeches now), struggled against the Lakers monster frontline. Engulfed early, and backed down and scored over eaasily by Pau. First basket on a dunk off a Beno drive and dish near the end of the first. Bad pass turnover from the post. O-reb off a Reke miss and got the follow layup. In the 2nd missed the jumper, but on our second offensive follow, got it andf laid it in. Short on the wide open jumper, but hit the next one off the swinging ball movement. Worked hard on the o-glass even when he didn't come up with them. Started the 2nd half again getting shot over easily by Pau -- Pau was 12-14 in this one and never even noticed Landry down there staring at his belly button lint. Cherry picked and got the dunk. O-reb and missed the follow. Began the 4th with a layup inside from Beno. Got fouled out on the break. Run over by Odom for the late +1. O-reb, got it blocked, got it back and fouled. Missed the first, and hit the second. Hit the jumper from Reke, but shot over by Gaosl again as we could not get stops inside. Fouled Odom for some reason at the 57 second mark to give the Lakers some more FTs. The numbers say higher grade than this. But the numbers are a bit deceptive -- got beat up pretty bad in there. You always get the effort, but too many trees.
falafel.jpg

Falafel what do you do if you have a can of garbonzo beans (chickpeas) sitting around? Falafel of course! Very easy with a food processor. Use them to top a salad, make some pita bread to put them in wiht some lettuce and tomato, whatever. Tasty. Note: the egg and flour are just there for consistency. Add or subtract as neede ot keep the mixtrue together.

Ingredients
1 16 oz. can of garbanzo beans.
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
3 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon coriander
1 teaspoon cumin
3 tablespoons flour
1 egg
Salt
Pepper
Oil for frying

Directions
1) Drain garbonzo beans
2) Combine garbonzo beans, garlic, onion, coriander, cumin, salt and pepper (to taste) in medium bowl, or food processor. Add flour and egg.
3)Mash (or process). You want the result to be a thick paste.
4)Form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a ping pong ball. Slightly flatten.
5)Fry in 2 inches of oil at 350 degrees until golden brown (5-7 minutes).
Serve hot.

Hawes ( C+ ) -- well this was...interesting. Got completely ruined by Bynum in there -- perhaps THE decisive factor in our loss -- and yet while a lot of it was the terminal softness disease which makes banging bodies anathema to him, he fought back in his own way, and some of the Bynum dunkfest came as a result of Spencer rotating over to challenge Kobe on his drives. Started the game with a big block on Kobe, and if nothing else, that is something he did well all game. Maybe too well as he seemed to forget his own man in the process -- reminded me of the way Duane Causewell used to get blocks. Killed by Bynum on the glass early, and dunked on repeatedly. Moved in for a little jumper, then hit the three from Reke. Added a running scoop shot, and had 7pts and...1 whole reb early. But Bynum had 11 and 5 by that time back the other way. In the 2nd was back outside again missing the corner three. After he returned, so did Bynum, and Bynum resumed whipping him. In the third made a nice spinning dish to Donte on the baseline, who got fouled. Worked over again by Bynum, but came back with a baselinw juper. In and out on the three. A gallop in the lane for another running hook type thing. Missed a J up top. Missed a move along the baseline as we oddly came out of the timeout apparently determined to force it to him. Dunk on the break from Reke. So some scoring, FIVE blocked shots, mostly on Kobe...and meanwhile a sad effort on the glass and got run over and through by Bynum as he destrolished us (I could not decide whether to say destroyed or demolished, and he kind of did both, so I combined them). These are grading moments that make a man out of you.
parmesan-chicken.jpg

Parmesan Chicken -- I just made some more of these last night. Highly yummy, and very versatile. Can just use them like chicken fingers next to mashed potatoes. Can mix them into pasta as a tasty pasta salad meat. Can use them as finger foods, main dish, side dish, but always tasty.

Ingredients
1 clove garlic, minced
1 stick unsalted butter (1/2 cup or 1/4 pound), melted (actually I normally use margerine)
1 cup dried bread crumbs
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or sub dry)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
A large pinch of Italian seasoning
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 lbs of skinless, boneless, chicken meat, cut into pieces no larger than 2x2 inches

Directions
1) Preheat oven to 450°F.

2) In a bowl, combine the minced garlic with the melted butter. In another bowl mix together the bread crumbs, Parmesan, parsley, salt, garlic salt, Italian seasoning, and pepper. Dip chicken pieces into garlic butter, then into crumb mixture to coat.

3) Place coated chicken pieces on to a 9x13 baking dish. Try to leave a little room between each piece. Drizzle with remaining garlic butter and bake uncovered 15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear. Note that the chicken will get much more browned on the bottom side than on the top.

Udrih ( C ) -- another down game for Beno in what I guess is now a mini-slump. Poor timing, and I guess what would be interesting is whether Reke's sudden explosion into LeMagic Robertson has thrown him out of rhythm adapting to a lesser role, or whatehr possibly teams have finally just taken note that he needs to be guarded too. Bad pass turnover to start, missed the wide open corner three on the Reke drive and kick. But got the drive and dish to Landry for the dunk, and the passing at least still had its moments -- we could have had two 10 assist guys if guys had been hitting their shots. In the 2nd flat out airballed a little flip. Missed another flip, but after we got the O-reb and kicked it back to him, dribbled it out for a little jumper. Used a pick for another jumper. In the 3rd picked off an open court pass. Missed another open three in the corner from Hawes. Working on the boards Good passing work in the final quarter -- started with drive and kick to Cisco. Then followed with a drive and dish to Landry for the dunk, A spinning drive and dropoff to Reke for the layuyp. Fouled Kobe late sending him to the line for the pair, as we could not catch up with the Lakers living at the FT lane late. Dump to JT for the running jumper in desperation time.
SalmonCakesEatingEtcc.jpg

Salmon Cakes --this is fairly close to my mom's recipe, although some of the details get fuzzed sometimes. I often use it when I have a bunch of potatoes around that are starting to get old. Many of the details are negotiable and shift around according to tastes or available ingredients.

Ingredients
10 medium/large potatoes
2 16oz cans of salmon (or fresh equivalent)
1 large onion, chopped
1 cup fresh chopped parsley
2-3 large eggs
1/2 cup chopped green onions
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons mustard
1 1/2 cups flour
salt and pepper to taste
oil for frying

Directions
1) boil the potatoes until softened, but not until mushy -- you do not want to create mashed potatoes, but crumbly ones
2) in very large bowl mash potatoes, by hand -- again purpose is not to make them mashed and liquid, but merely to break them up
3) add salmon, onion, parsely, eggs, onions, garlic powder, mustard, salt, and pepper, mash together Make sure it sticks together/clumps. If not, add another egg.
4) in plate, pour flour, and add pepper to taste. Lemon pepper can also be added if desired.
5) heat an inch or two of oil in pan
6) scoop out serving spoon sized scoops of the mixture, roll in flower, drop in pan to fry
7) drain on paper towels

Evans ( A ) -- look, how am I supposed to grade this? Do I grade this kid on a triple double scale now? No triple double = max of a B? I was actually pondering an A- on this one because he missed too many layups, his best streak was early, and we lost. 20 yr old kid put up 25-11-9 against the defending champs and comes 1 assist, which he should have had, from doing what no other player in the league has done this year (have a triple double against the Lakers), and I am pondering A-? Good lord it does not take long to get spoiled. Heavily harassed by Artest early, which should intimidate any rookie, but just made this one mad. Drew Ron on the other end as well, and was physical enough that Ron did not have a bucket until the second half. Then got out in the open court past three Lakers for the layup. Missed the three, as the shot still looked better than it has, but is still not his shot. Slashed down the lane and fouled, hit both. Torched Artest with a major spin move that made all the highlights, and then hit the layup. Got the ball stolen from him on the post by Artest. Burned by Kobe on defense. Missed a three. Layup fell off. Kept in to start the second and was stil incredibly aggressive. Drive on Artest rolled off. Drive and fouled and hit both. Near steal recovered by the Lakers. Got a ball on defense, spun and quickly fired it up the court to Casspi for the layup. Drove and dished to Noc in the corner for the three. Drive and fouled and split the pair. All over the d-boards. Another drive and dish to Casspi for the three. Missed a little slip inside. Out on the break again and gaoltending gave him the hoop. To the basket again +1 past Farmar and Pau. Drive and off the heel of the iron. Got to the hoop on the closing play of the half, but again missed the layup. In the third grabbed a d-board, his 10th, went full court and got fouled, but only split the pair. Too high on the break pass attempt to Hawes. Missed another thrre. Nice kick to Cisco in the corenr for the three, then a dish to Hawes on the break for a dunk. Split a double and laid it in. Started the 4th with a drive and missed the layup again. Drive and kick to Noc, but Noc bricked it from the side. Good defense on Kobe forcing a miss. Moved smartly into position for the dropoff pass from Beno, and hit the layup. Quick drive and fouled + rattled in both FTs. Great defense on Kobe forcing a miss, then went full court and got fouled again. Hit 1 of 2. Drive and kick to Landry for the jumper. Then pulled up and drained a three. You know, we can sit here and nitpick all we want with the things he didn't do, but 20 year old kids don't do what we have seen this week. They just don't.

General's Chicken -- you know, there seem to be two entirely different dishes often referred to as "General's Chicken". One is tangy, the other hot. This is a delicious version of the tangy one. Note: the sauce, the key to all chinese cooking, is delicious. You are going to want to at least double it. But be careful -- its also salty, and if you make too much of it you can oversalt the whole dish -- I often counter this by dumping the broccoli in with the chicken, doubling the sauce, and then having it coat both.

Ingredients
For the Chicken
1 large egg, beaten
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 pinch black pepper
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1 inch cubes

For the Sauce
2 1/2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
3 teaspoons sugar
3 teaspoons rice wine vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons dry sherry

For the Rest
peanut oil
cornstarch, for dusting
8 small dried hot chili peppers
1/4 cup finely sliced green onion
4 cups broccoli florets, steamed

Directions
1)Mix together egg, salt, black pepper, and cornstarch in a bowl.
2)Add the chicken cubes; mix to coat, and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
3)In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, garlic, ginger, hoisin sauce, sugar, rice wine vinegar, and sherry for the sauce; reserve.
4)Heat wok over high heat for a minute or so; add about 3 1/2-4 cups of peanut oil to wok, and heat to 350 degrees F.
5)With tongs, remove chicken cubes individually from bowl, dust with 1 tbsp. cornstarch, shaking off excess, and place in the hot oil.
6)Deep-fry chicken pieces for 1 1/2-2 minutes, until browned and crisp.
7)turn off heat, and remove chicken with a wire strainer and drain over a bowl.
8)Pour off all but 1 1/2 tbsp. of the oil from the wok.
9)Heat the wok over high heat for 20-30 seconds; add the chilies and stir-fry for 15-20 seconds, then add the green onions, cooking for 30 seconds more.
10)Add the chicken and cook, stirring, for 1 minute; remove all from wok and set aside.
11)Stir sauce mixture into wok, stirring well, until sauce thickens into a nice glaze
12) add chicken and chilis/onions back into the wok, stirring until everything is well coated, about 1 1/2-2 minutes.
13)Place on platter; and garnish with steamed broccoli florets.
14)Serve with rice.

Bench

Thompson ( B ) -- solid big man effort off the bench. Still left you wondering how bright the ole light bulb was flickering on some plays, but cleaned up the glass for us and probably more effective than either of the bigs (Landry, Hawes) ahead of him. Started the 2nd quarter with an O-reb and follow of a Reke miss. Missed a jumper on a Reke kick. Nice block on defense to start the break. Back late in the 3rd, and knocked down a catch and shoot from Reke. Began the 4th with a long jumper up top. Blocked a Kobe jumper on the perimeter, took it up court, made a bad pass, went and got it back. Got fouled on the attempted dunk and hit both FTs. Missed the off balance jumper. Fouled on the pick and roll with Reke. Missed the first, made the second. Missed a little jumper down the stretch. Terrible inbonds pass turnover at the 57 second mark to finish us. Of course Kobe turned it right back over when a ball bounced off his feet, so maybe JT was in good company. Hit the running jumper from Beno at the 45 sec mark. Should be noted just for the sake of controversy that JT appeared blissfully unaware that Reke was sitting one assist off another triple double down the stretch and took every action to deny that possibility. Passed on the jumper and went down the lane for the dunk at the 30 second mark. Got the ball again on our final offensive possession, and got fouled.
Cheese-Enchilada-by-Acererak.jpg

Granny's Enchiladas -- these were were my grandmother's, and the recipe has been passed down through three generations after her now -- its a keeper. Only real use I have ever had for corn tortillas (I vastly prefer flour normally). More chili powder can be added for more kick, but I prefer to actually taste the food itself.

Ingredients
Meat Mixture
2 lbs of hamburger
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can chopped olives

Sauce
4 cans tomato sauce
1-2 tablespoons of flour (as thickener, use as much as needed)
1 teaspoon of garlic salt
2 tablespoons chili powder

Other
1lb of cheddar cheese, shredded
1 can whole olives, halved
2 packages (16 total) corn tortillas

Directions
1) sautee meat mixture ingredients together
2) mix sauce ingredients together in saucepan at medium heat, bring to boil and turn heat to low
3) grease several baking dishes, and preheat oven to 350 degrees
4) using tongs, dip each tortilla in sauce briefly -- do not submerge too long or they will fall apart
5) place each tortilla in baking dish, spoon one serving spoon full of meat mixture into tortilla, add one small handful of cheddar cheese, and two half olives, fold tortilla closed
6) repeat for each tortilla, pressed together
7) pour remaining sauce over tops of enchilada, sprinkle remaining cheese over top, and garnish with remianing half olives
8) cook in oven 12-15 minutes, until cheese is melted, and any exposed tortilla is beginning to turn crisp

Cisco ( C+ ) -- competed well, but only sporadically got anything accomplished. Forced Kobe into an airball with great defense early, then missed a three back the other way. Beat by Kobe for the +1, then posted by him. Missed the long halfcourt heave at the first quarter buzzer. In the second missed the corner three on the Reke kickout. Picked in the open court from behind. Block on Bryant started a Reke break. After returning in the third hit the three on the kick from Reke. Began the 4th hitting an important three on the kick from Beno after we had stalled. Passed on the jumper and traveled instead. Too aggressive and fouled Kobe late sending him to the line. Most of his enery was spent trying to contain Kobe, whihc he did with mixed results.
107918.jpg

Interesting Enchilada Sauce -- now what I was going to do was call this Chicken Enchilada, because that is what I normally do with it -- and to get that take some chicken breast, chop it up into 1" chunks or small strips, take 1 medium onion and 1 or 2 green/red peppers, chop them into good sized cunks as well (not diced, chunked). Sautee those things up. Grate some Monterey Jack cheese, or possibly Cheddar Jack, get some flour tortillas. And make enchiladas out of them using the following sauce. But the sauce itself is the star -- as you can see from all the italian ingredients, its not a tradtional enchilada sauce, but boy is it yummy. Versatile too, and go with a lot of meals.

Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon minced onion
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
2 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 cup salsa
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 1/2 cups water

Directions
Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Add the garlic and saute for 1 to 2 minutes.
Add the onion, oregano, chili powder, basil, ground black pepper, salt, cumin, parsley, salsa and tomato paste.
Mix together and then stir in the water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

Nocioni ( C+ ) -- Came in aggressive and helped for a while, but missed his shots down the stretch. In in the 2nd and ran into a big Pau pick that led to a layup. Canned a three in the corner off a Reke kick. Nice drive and scooop to the hoop. Three point shot blcoked. In the 3rd first got overpowerd by Artest inside for Ron's only hoop, then got overpowered by Gasol for another. Split a pair of jumpers down the stretch of the quarter. In the 4th missed the high scoop off the glass. Blew another open three from Reke. Out on the break late, but missed the layup. Got the ball on the inbounds at the 1:15 mark and slamned into Kobe for the foul, and hit both.
Meat Pie (Tourtiere) -- in general I think French Canadiens are geographically confused, and their constant attempts to bust up Canada so they can have their own little irrelevant blip on the map annoy me. But they do have a traditional dish called a Tourtiere/Meat Pie, which I decided to randomly try to cook once last year, and whihc I have to congratualte them for. See the slew of cinnamon/cloves/allspice spices in there? Really gives the pie a unique almost sweet taste, and the contrast makes a nice change of pace.
208266.jpg

Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds ground pork (I thinik I might have used hamburgr, don't recall)
1 large baking potato 1 large onion, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 dash ground allspice
1/2 cup water
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust deep dish pie
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon paprika

Directions
1) Bake the potato until done. Peel and mash the potato.
2) Place the potato, ground pork, onion, spices and water in a large frying pan and simmer until very thick, for about one hour.
3) Meanwhile, prepare your pastry.
4) Line a deep-dish pie plate with pastry. Spoon in filling, spreading evenly.
5) Cover with top crust.
6) Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with paprika, if desired.
7) Cut steam vent.
8) Bake for 50 minutes at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). If edges brown too fast, cover with a strip of foil. Serve warm.

Casspi ( B- ) -- looking lively again, but had some defensive issues. Out on the break and took a 3/4 court pass from Reke for the dunk. Three from Reke on the kick. Off reb, but missed the tip. Beat by Kobe on an inbounds play, and got torched in that matchup whenever it happened. Missed a jumper. Nice quick three off the swing from Landry. In the 4th missed the three. Layup inside. Harassed Brown and forced the TO. Beat by Vujacic.
Italian Meatballs -- was going to finish with a delicious Taco Salad recipe passed over from a friend of my mom's decades ago and thoroughly adopted, but its now a full 24 hours since game time, I can't find the exact recipe, and this one will do instead. A tasty Italian Meatball recipe.

1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1 c. bread crumbs (Italian seasoned)
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. parsley flakes
1 tsp. onion flakes, powder or salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder

Combine ingredients. Shape into 1 1/2 inch meatballs. Place in covered skillet in oven 15 minutes (325-350 degrees). Do not overcook. Turn meatballs over. Cook for another 15 minutes. Drain liquid.

Is it what we came to??? Playing for Tyreke's tripple doubles?! Sigh...

Would have been a nice cherry, yes. Especially after the sundae itself melted away. And the repeated blown open looks is getting old. That's just good basketball -- that's the way you draw it up. You go stand here, well within your range, I drive, draw your man, kick, voila! Wide open jumper!

the more remote dange, which I have no sign of yet, is that Reke, getting better as a passer all the time, loses confidence in these guys to just hit the damn shot on the kickout, says screw it, and starts taking it himself.

I really don't get why Hawes and Thompson couldn't play on the court together in this game. Landry is like a midget against those guys...

Well...since the playoffs seem to be a long shot, why not!? I'm a fan. I like rooting for a triple double, the ally-oop, behind the back passes. What's the big deal?

Sacramento Kings Wtf moments of the season theme?

I vote JT with 3 out of bounds to out of bounds inbounds this season as my wtf moment

Jason Thompson would not play on any other roster (maybe the Nets) and should not be in the league right now.

Tyreke is tyreke...I'm already expecting him to get those kind of numbers. I'm just waiting for a consistent jumper from him..

Hawes was pathetic today. The stats are deceiving. He's basically a 7 foot small forward/shooting guard. He can't rebound if his life depended on it, nor could he box out anyone. I mean for crying out loud....JUMP for a rebound at least.

Aside from Tyreke, I was really impressed with Casspi. I loved the fact that he was going after kobe. Whenever someone from our team does that, you always get a plus in my book. Garcia always goes after kobe, but Casspi actually started to trash talk and gets aggressive with him and I loved it. Also, was being scrappy inside and made his open looks.

There are at least two playoff teams that would give us their starting power forward, straight up, and maybe even throw in a draft pick, for Jason Thompson.

Other teams would get fed up with Jason Thompson's consistent inability to play within himself, calm, and make the simple play. His basketball IQ is too low for him to be a starter and/or get consistent minutes. Tyreke would have had a triple double if Jason would have just went up strong or just finished a number of plays. (Yes, other guys messed up too. Whatever.)

You really don't remember Mikki Moore do you? How about Justin Williams? How about the ever lovable Olden Polyhate?

If we sack every player that screws up a possible triple-double for Tyreke, we're gonna have a lot of sackin' to do over his career! :D

JT has his stupid mistakes .. He's kind of like old Cisco ( We don't see 'bad cisco' nearly as much anymore ) only worse. I know Cisco made some bad plays when he was younger, but JT takes it to a new level.

All that being said, I think he was our best big tonight. He came in for Hawes in the second quarter and totally controlled the glass. That's when we were playing at our best. His D was better than Landry or Hawes too. And the offense was somewhat there for him. I give him the nod over Landry because Carl was missing his jumper tonight. He got good looks but just didn't really get going.

Yeah I don't understand the complaints. The most encouraging thing was that he took it hard to the hoop a couple of times and went up strong for a dunk instead of that one-handed falling away crap.

That one dunk he had (when the game was pretty much over), was nasty.

I've always liked JT. If he gets back to where he was at the start of this season (14/9 player), we're pretty good at PF. We just need us a big mean 5. Hawes had his blocks tonight, but he got thrown around by Bynum.

Lol Artest just stood there...man if Reke would have made most of his lay-ups, we would be looking at a 40-point game maybe.
