Nail on the Head ...

Whole-heartedly agree ....

Darius just looked tired and worn-out .... I'm sure he's exhausted, but grateful for all the minutes he's getting and at the same time looking forward to Chris getting back in the lineup. I give him an A for filling in for C-Webb

Evans is adjusting .... I believe he plays ALOT better when THE REGULAR STARTING 5 are in there and he's either coming off the bench for Mike or Cutino.

What a win, what a win.

Random grades and observations

Kings grade (h)---for what else? Heart....That being said come back Webb, Peja and Cat!

ARCO-two thumbs way up. That place was rocking like old the times!

- Is it just me or does it look like Eddie House is wearing go-go boots?

- Perhaps continuing the theme of the New York broadcast with a word on the New York media: I just finished reading all of the NY papers and I still don't understand their infatuation with Chris Webber. Yes, he idolizes Zeke and all that but that doesn't mean the Kings would even entertain getting back what ever they would offer. The Kings are still trying to win now, trading Webb for a bunch of roles players would not be following with that goal....and please please, lets not turn this in to a discussion of whether or not the Kings need Webber to be considered a legitimate contender because if you have watched even 1/4 of the season so far you would recognize regardless of your personal feelings of him, he has been huge for the Kings.

Good grades, Brick.

I think since you mentioned some crunch time performances of players, though, that it's only fair to also give Special K his props, too, in that time. Kevin played a role in 4 of the 8 Kings comeback points in the final minute. His tip in of the missed jumper, and, as Marty Mac properly called it in his piece this morning, Kevin deflected the Hardaway pass that Barnes recovered and fed Brad on for the layup that tied the game.

All in all, Kevin was visibly more "animated" last night than he has been recently. His girlfriend just came to town yesterday, so maybe her presence inspired him. Whatever it was, I hope it continues.

Webber, Mobley, and Peja total up for 60 points!! Can u belive the bench made into 60 poits. WoW! Bench was really something today.......
And if you add in Bobby, that's like 70+ pts!

I have to admit, I thought the Kings was on their way to losing. Down 7 with 50 secs left. But I still listened to the game cause I knew anything is possible in the NBA (or any sport). The real play that made me scream was the Barnes steal and Brad's 3 point play. It made the game tied and oblivous a shot for the Kings to win too. I was so happy!! :D

Bibby & Brad...doing what they still have to do. I give them major props for stepping up with their co-starters out. They really impress me. To me, Bibby is being the "Steve Nash", always making plays for his teammates and himself. I've seen Brad going in a lot lately instead of shooting his jumpers. He's been working hard on driving in and now I can count on him if he drives in. :)

I give the game ball to Matt Barnes. He got the steal after Bibby's 3, he made the 1 FT which made Kings win by 1 point (what if he missed both? It would had gone to OT..lol) and stole the ball from Hardway(?) to seal the win!!

Growing up in New York, I always had to listen to all the superfluously large and complicated words Walt Clyde Frazier used to compensate for his lack of intelligence and/or announcing ability. I could not watch the game tonight, but I bet Frazier was saying things like "Thomas makes an egregious blunder by fouling Miller in the paint." Or "The Knicks can ill-afford to keep playing lackadaisical defense," and "Marbuy is off to a prolific start." Some of his other favorite words: omnipotence, impotence, baffling, rejuvenate, uncanny, prodigious.
LOLOL...I'm from NJ and have watched MSG since I was a kid. What a perfect way to sum up Frazier's commentary. Still, you can't fault his lack of intelligence - not every commentator can use that kind of vocab. That being said, in yesterdays game it was overdone and not exactly neccesary as always.

Good post Vlad.

Lets hope last night helps Kevin get over the rookie wall for good.
