Tonight we looked really nice, but it isn't often a team shoots 56% as a whole.

New Orleans is on planet "you-suck-really-bad" ... you don't do this to a decent team or a team that focuses on defense.

We HAVE to get it inside. Outside shooting is usually a by-product of an efficient post game or an amazing passer. In my opinion, we've shown we've got neither.

Artest should be in the post a lot more often than he is. SAR shouldn't be standing on the 3 point line. What are we doing posting Bibby up?

Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or what?

1. Yes NOK is not that good. But they don't suck really bad. I think we shot 56% as a response to the whole Muss incident.

2. Yes we don't have Steve Nash, but Bibby is a great passer. He can set up people off the dribble, and can create his own shot. Artest is another guy who can draw the double and set other guys up off the dribble.

3. I agree we have to get inside, but look at our team. SAR is by far our best post player. After that you have a bunch of softies. We knew that coming in so why would you be critical of something that has been obvious for quite some time now?

4. Outside shooting is one of our strengths. Which is why Muss is running a type of offense to get our guys shots. You don't need a great post player or Steve Nash to set up the outside shot, although it would be nice.

5. If a team focuses on defense, then they are going to sacrifice offense. We seem to want to defy the rule. I think we have enough depth on our bench to keep some of the legs fresh on the court.

6. The only good point you made was about Artest posting up more. I think everyone on KF can agree with that. He is a mismatch for every team, but think about it....why would you post him up in the preseason. It just allows scouts to work on ways to stop him. And Ron is one of those guys that can carry the team on his back. I don't mind when Ron shoots from downtown, he is better than most on our team. I get upset with his shot selection. Not to mention if he hits that outside shot, then defenses have to front him more, allowing him to use his size, length and strength to drive the lane.

7. SAR stands on the perimeter to clear some room out of the paint. I think Muss is just flirting with the idea of Bibby posting up. I don't expect to see it much but think about it...You post up when you have a size/weight advantage at that position. You don't have to be a Center to post up. And how many PG's work on their post defense?Bibby can post up here and there for some clutch baskets.

If I see Mike Bibby post up even once I am going to throw up on the spot. And if we put Reef on the 3-point line to give Bibby room to post up them I am going to have a seizure. SAR has not looked particularly good on the offensive end during the pre-season, but that still does not merit him being a decoy on the perimemter. He is still our best post scorer and as of now has been completely ignored by our offensive sets. I know that we have been winning, but to win in the regular season we absolutely must get more points in the paint. Relying completely on the jump shot will lead to a very inconsistent Kings team.

^^ i think if bibby develops a post up game it would be better for the team. He really doesn't post up a lot but if he gets comfortable with it and develops some post moves, then that would be absolutely great. he's not the quickest guard out there but he's strong. so i guess he just has to go with what he has.

i agree, though, that reef should be used at the low post. but i'm definitely not gonna discourage mike from posting up, especially if the matchup favors him.

why would bibby develop a post up game, if shaq could shoot 3's he bed even better too, and if earl boykins blcked shots hed be a beast

are you suggesting bibby can't do it? why not? it's not like it requires athleticsm or strength that he doesn't have. he doesn't have to jump higher than he can. i'm not saying he should do it all the time, but it's definitely a good option to have. especially to get him going if his outside shots aren't falling or to take advantage of mismatches.

Bibby developing a post game is a lot easier than Shaq shooting ANYTHING or Earl learning how to get bigger, stronger, jump higher, and have defensive tenacity. With that said, Bibby isn't going to be posting up all the time, and he is not going to sacrifice outside shots.

Every once in a while to throw off the defense, especially when we need a basket? Fine by me.
