Not much to say. First half was turn it off embarrassing. Second half we found some pride, came up short. old story. As in now 8-39 the last 3 years with no Cuz. probably some sort of record.

Boxscore

Stats: 40min 20pts (9-12, 0-3, 2-2) 13reb 1ast 2stl 0blk 4TO
Summary: one of three 20pt scorers, but did it at hsi own pace ratehr than helping our surge, some great play in the late 2nd, but middling otherwis.e Helped on glass.

Gay ( ) --

Stats: 14min 4pts (2-6, 0-2, 0-0) 2reb 0ast 0stl 0blk 0TO
Summary:ineffective against the Heat smallball scheme and could not hist his shots

Acy ( ) --

Stats: 22min 4pts (1-6, 0-0, 2-2) 4reb 1ast 0stl 2blk 0TO
Summary:did little to justify his start in the first half and worked by Amare. Lost the 2nd half start, but helped with defense once he arrived

Cauley-Stein ( ) --

Stats: 32min 21pts (5-10, 4-6, 7-8) 2reb 3ast 2stl 0blk 1TO
Summary:came out scoring and competing, although Gerald Green exposed his lack of size on defense. Quiet for a long spell, but joined DC in our late charge to nearly steal it

Curry ( ) --

Stats: 29min 5pts (1-7, 0-1, 3-4) 5reb 10ast 1stl 0blk 3TO
Summary: relatively ineffective go of things, could not hit his shots, and while he did set people up the team made its push with CD and Curry on ball

Rondo ( ) --

Bench

Stats: 8min 2pts (1-3, 0-0, 0-2) 1reb 0ast 0stl 0blk 0TO
Summary:well, this may have been the last we see of Omri this season, suddenly pulled up with a strained hammy in the early going, never returned

Casspi( ) --

Stats: 34min 26pts (8-13, 1-3, 9-9) 2reb 2ast 0stl 0blk 2TO
Summary:big game by DC, after half especially. Exploded and led the charge to turn a 20pt deficit into a near win.

Collison ( ) --

Stats: 22min 12pts (6-11, 0-0, 0-2) 9reb 2ast 0stl 2blk 2TO
Summary: almost comically inept in the first half, but was huge down the stretch in one of his best halves since arriving and gave us an inside to the DC/Curry show

Koufos ( ) --

Stats: 22min 5pts (2-5, 1-3, 0-0) 2reb 0ast 2stl 0blk 1TO
Summary:a Ben outing featuring missed shots and occasional forces, but once we finally started playing defense, Ben played a part in it

McLemore( ) --

Stats: 19min 7pts (3-5, 1-3, 0-0) 1reb 1ast 0stl 1blk 0TO
Summary:when we finally turned to him, likely because we no longer had Omri, turned in one of his best two-way performances

Anderson ( ) --

I am annoyed by the outcome. I mean, at this point in the season, all I really wanted was a chance to finish about .500 at home.

ummm... Cuz out, and it ends with a loss in a close game that got exciting at the end for the fans?

Isn't that the textbook case of a LIN?

Let's be honest, now....

How in the world did Curry rot on the bench with McLemore and Bellinelli playing like crap all season?

With a proper coach and the maturation of WCS and Seth, given the proper coach, next year could be quite different. Waaaaay different. Although my gut doesn't like it, a loss is OK. I think we need guards and there are at least three that I like that could contribute and a year later, maybe we'll be damn good.

I didn't get to watch the game but read the box score. How was Seth's defense?
Was good except when he had to guard bigger guys, Gerald Green lit him up hard on every switch and Joe Johnson did the same to DC.

Makes sense. Joe Johnson usually commands a 3 to guard him and can be a matchup nightmare .... when he actually wants to "bring it". No excuse for Gerald Green going nuts if Curry wants to be a long-term starter. It seems as if in these last few games Curry has guaranteed himself at least 15-20 minutes per night next season.

Well to be fair Green can go off on anyone

I like your sentiment but if I or really any other NBA coach had been in charge the season would have happened in essentially the same way for Curry.

I'm not sure I can agree with that. Look how much time Isaiah Thomas saw his rookie year.
