Well, well, a close game through three, but throw on a 27-11 4th quarter complete collapse, and all of a sudden we have that rarity post-trades: Pretty Girls Theme! Woohoo! ;)

Its St. Patty's Day of course, and that suggests redheads, but between the various pretty girl threads and the Redheads theme I did for St. Patty's Day last year...or was it the year before? In any case, may have to do some digging here, but we'll go Pretty Girls: the Reds anyway.

Otay -- as the girl gathering has gone well, might as well get this going:

Nocioni ( B ) -- nice hustle play on one early possession, saving the ball twice and throwing it up off the glass from a sitting position just to give Jason a chance to go get it (Jason failed to convert). Dropped a nice post move in there against Smth as well. Was having a major impact, and moving the ball, until he rather foolishly got himself into quick foul trouble in the 2nd quarter with chippy play, and had to sit out until half. For the longest time made Joe Jhnson look like trash again -- in fact if you had nothing to go on other than Kings games these last few years you would say that Johnson is a scrab. Ron probably still carries his reproductive organs around in a jar, and he sucked for most of the first matchup between these teams as well. Tonight it was Noc doing most of the work against him (for obvious reasons there was no way we were putting Kevin on him) and he was horrid...right up until the time it came to win the game. But that was against Cisco, not Noc, and there is a reason Noc had the best +/- on the team tonight. never did much going on the offensive side after half, as Kevin did all the scoring for a quarter, and nobody at all scored in the 4th.

Emma Stone -- after major A movie comedy scores in Superbad (as the round guy's quest object) and The House Bunny (as the nerdy girl transformed into beauty) you'd have to say Emma's career is in full swing.

Thompson ( C+ ) -- started off the game active and looking like he wanted to use his size adbantage at PF over Smith (the good and the bad of it was all of his first half rebounds were offenseive in nature), but began to get fooled on defense, got in a little foul trouble, and then sat for a long time. Upon returning late in the second period he was schooled repeatedly on defense and did not get much done on the other end. Got a few rebounds in the thrid, which was a relief givne that nobody else was, adn was moderately effective with the hustle game in the 4th. the probelm was ont he other end, where Smith was too mobile and Horford too powerful for him. One went around him and fooled him repeatedly for back doors and alley oops, the other just put his head down and went through him.

Alison Carroll -- meet the newest Lara Croft, Allison Carroll. Oh, and guys, she got the role because she's a gymnast.

Hawes ( C ) -- impact early with a lot of hands on defense, blocked a shot, tipped another, deflected a pass, and all of it led to the break, once went behind the back with an escape dribble to key the break too. Better than the early numbers even. Was soft and finessy on man defense though, and it was those traits that would eventually come to define this outing. What I wouldn't give to see a legitimate chest first body bump from Spencer against his man rather than constantly looking like he's afraid he'll bruise something. Was able to chip in a few more hoops after half when he was one fo the few guys other than Kevin scoring at all, but he never did compete on the glass, and he was run over and overpowered by every member of the Hawks frontline, including Georgian (the little country, not the state) League All Star Zaza Pachulia. The finessy stuff bled over onto offense as well, where there were more missed 3pt chucks, and everything was falling away by the edn of the game. Did do a solid job again on siwtched onto Joe Johnson (indeed his defense against guards often looks better than his defense against bigs), and he did put a good hard takedown on Horford, but only to get out of the game after he suffered an elbow owie. All the talent and all the soft were on display at the same time out there today.

Isla Fisher -- and believe it or not I have held off on using her before because she has not always looked that amazing to me in other shots, but hey, we hold no grudges in the pretty girl threads.

Martin ( B+ ) -- the beneficiary of much of the open court scrambling opportunities that were created by, get this, our active defense in the early going, and had 7 quick points. Was playing respectable defense against nobodies in particular (Mo Evans, Flip Murray etc.), keeping contact, and aside from a dumb gamble for a steal that resulted in a three, generally doing better than his teammates, not worse. Was helping on the glass as well, and with the combination of open court free looks that he excels at, and fouls drawn, had 17 points in the first half despite continuing FT shooting shakiness. Was just too quick for Mo for most of the night. Second half was the more interesting time, as he may have simulataneously carried us and helped throttle us in the third, when basically nobody but Kevin could score at all, and he was the offense. The foul drawing, falling down, ball stopping, FT shooting offense. And he was the only reason we stayed close. But you also have to wonder if it was too much as we had no rhythm at all, and when Kevin disappeared in the 4th, nobody else had any feel at all as we collapsed. Not sure whta happened with Kevin himself in the last quarter -- was completely shut out after 14 in the 3rd, and all of a sudden the defenders he was beating earlier were harassing him and poking balls away. Maybe fatigue again. Maybe frustration by the end when he was forcing stuff up. Either way, his big 3rd had been disguising how awful everybody else was after half, and once Kevin joined the awful...well, we got Pretty Girls! Yay!!

Angel Boris -- actress and former playboy model Angel Boris. One of thos fun types where clicking the safe search button on or off adds 10x as many pictures to, er, sort through.

Udrih ( C ) -- started out the game active and was able to maneuver around Bibby and run the offense pretty easily, even with Bibby looking uncommonly focused on defense. But lost contact with Mike too many times the other way, and saw him bomb away at us largely uncontested from outside. Played most of the way through the second quarter too, but not terribly effectively as the Hawks really started to pick us apart, inside and out. Did little after the break. Largely avoided turnovers until a critical one in the early 4th, but could not hit his shots, was not racking up assists (as our offense was pretty much Kevin going to the line, there were few opportunities), and was a minimal impediment to the Hawks running their offense.

Anna Easteden -- Finnish model/actress Anna Easteden

Cisco ( D ) -- not Cisco's night, and who knows maybe he took drastic action to shorten his big toe by an inch or two in the wake of Toegate down in D.C. a couple of nights back. Erratic first half minutes that were minimally productive. Stayed in front of Johnson decently, also turned the ball over and picked up fouls. Forgettable, but necessary given Nocioni's foul trouble I suppose. Was mostly invisible in the second half until getting visible in the worst way -- after sucking all game long, Joe Johnson came on to torch Cisco on both sides of the floor in the early 4th to open the lead up and put us away.

Amy Adams -- last summer I think it was I decided to sit down and try to watch the movie "Enchanted" (about a cartoon world princess who falls through a hole into the real world) as sort of a genre buster (felt like I was falling into a rut). Oh my was that a mistake. It had grated on every last one of my nerves and started going back for seconds by the time I said screw this and turned it off 30-40 minutes in. Just not made for me. But at least the princess was pretty cute. This is her.

McCants ( C ) -- well, after a couple of games of declining minutes, got his time in the first half, but not sure how great that was for us. Did come up with a couple of steals, and used his athleticism to run the break hard. But the overall shooting was not great, and we got torched in his minutes out there. When he returned, the Hawks promptly went on a run to seal things. Obviously not all hsi fault, but he, Cisco, and the rest of the bench (Calvin Booth excepted!) didn't get much accomplished.

Carrot Top -- since I always bend over backwards for our female board denizens, here ya go!: Barry Bonds' workout partner.

Solomon ( D ) -- tried to play defense in a short first half stint, but that was about it. Came in off the bench for Beno in the 4th gunning, and missing, and apparently stil hasn't worked that I'm-a-star Cleveland game out of hsi system. After a 1-5 gunning outing, and now an 0-6 gunning outing, he should consider doing so. Quickly.

Keltie Martin -- a relatively unknown model, that now you know. These girls should pay me a retainer.

Greene ( D ) -- a pair of bookend threes cannot disguise the emptiness of this outing for Donte. The myth of Donte as a PF was exposed early when he had to guard Horford, and Al just went right through him to the hoop and filled him up with 3 fouls in about 6 minutes of play. Donte did hit a three back the other way, but it was Bball 101 about why you don't play a SF at PF. Did not get on the glass, not physical enough inside, and one chuck was all the counter he could provide. Dropped in a 2nd three in garbagetime, but his contributions then weren't anymore rounded. 2 threes. 3 fouls. 2 TOs. That was the night.

Kari Byron -- a slight change of pace for those who like some brains with their beauty. Kari is a member of the team on the popular science show Mythbusters, and as such has kind of received the same geek attractiveness spiral that has elevated Star Trek babes etc. But she is not uncute, has a nice body, and combined with the smarts (some sort of engineer I would imagine), and great sense of humor (even in the FHM shoot where this photo is from) its a tasty package and maybe the geeks are right.

Booth ( A+++ ) -- that's right baby! The man they call Booth has arrived, and let our foes tremble and wet themselves. Our response to the Horford attack and foul trouble? Calvin, the man, the myth, the legend, Booth! And he kicked *** of course. What did you expect? Looked lively out there, was active on both ends. Scored a couple of hoops. Knocked a way a ball inside. For about 3 minutes of the first half was the most effective big man we had on the night. But even superstars get tired, esepcially when they have just played 5x as many minutes as they have on the season all in one stint. So we had to make do without him until late in the garbagetime, and by that point even Big Game Booth could not save us. As has been noted by others, a worst possible sign for Natt's opinion of Diogu and Simmons could not be asked for. If there was any doubt before (there was little) there should be none now -- they are just ending contracts.

Bethany Markley -- and I was searching around trying to find a good picture of Rene Russo back in her younger years as a model. But couldn't find one I liked, then discovered that my next alternate choice had embarked on a softcore porn career since I had last paid attention to her, so I said screw it, and decided to go with another unknown. Bethany Markley, with those eyes. If you ever happen to be passing through South Carolina (for whatever reason) maybe you will be lucky enough to bump into her on the beach.

Mine would actually (somewhat childishly) be this, but figured it might not get as many votes as the classics I put on the list, so I left it off. Also left off Kix. Corn Flakes. That yummy puffy one with the cartoon bear on the front... :p

I went with Cheerios. While I often like the sweeter ones as well, I always go back to the O's. I'd get sick of the others after a week or so.....

and The House Bunny (as the nerdy girl transformed into beauty)
Let me guess, this transformation involves the removal of glasses? :p

Had to go with Cheerios, by the way. Was seriously tempted to write in either Cocoa Krispies or Pebbles, but already know from experience that Cheerios is the only cereal where I've got even half a chance of making it through a box before the boredom sets in/novelty wears off.
