Gooden to give it a go

This team is going to need a 3rd big guy. If Gooden will accept his role and give 10 and 8 in 25-30 min(leaving 35 min each for the youngsters, which they may eventually reach without foul trouble), I don't see a problem with resigning him for 3-4 years.
I doubt there will be a bidding war for his services, with so many teams focused on getting space for a big name.
But it would be even nicer if Diogu could be that 3rd guy.

I agree. I would really like to see Diogu play also. He is young and could possible be a very good prospect. If Gooden is willing to accept a reserve roll on this team (for a reasonable price) I think he would be a solid player to have on the team.

Problem is these guys like Gooden, Diogu been in the league for a while now and we know what they bring already. They're Solid players but they do not belong on a rebuilding team. They will just take away minutes from JT and Donte. so thanks but no thanks I would rather just draft blake griffin and have a nice young front court for the future instead of signing a guy like Gooden to a 6 mil or more contract.

One thing to consider is if we draft Griffin, I think it is safe to say JT will be else where in three years. So I would say find a compedent PF back up (ie Gooden) and use the pick to draft the best PG.

Gooden at what price though, the man is good enough to command 6mill + a year... Not money we should be spending on a backup

I wouldn't mind keeping Gooden around as a backup for Jt and Hawes, as long as JT and Hawes continue to get time and grow.

Is Gooden Amish? I could swear his name was really Ishmael Gooden.

While he was courtside, I heard him say "I didn't want to be the one to tell him, but with those narrow hips, that girl couldn't have more than 6 or 7 children! " pointing at the Kings dancers. Hmmm...

This would be funnier if Gooden hadn't trimmed his beard when he arrived in Sac.

Goodens rookie season he averaged 12pts 6reb in 26 min and attempting 11 shots a game.

Jason Thompson rookie season so far 10pts 7reb in 26 min and attempting 8 shots a game.

Now in Goodens 7th year he averages 2 more reb. hmmmmm so if he deserves 6mil like someone said earlier what does jt deserve. going by stats jt is better.
