Gary Gerould, football announcer

As if covering the NBA and Indy racing wasn't enough, I was surprised to hear him as lead announcer for ABC's coverage of Southern Miss./Nebraska. I don't recall him covering college football in recent memory. Anyone know if he has much prior experience on football telecasts?

Years ago he did NFL football for the TV networks. He was on the regional broadcast teams - Bills, Browns, etc. on the regional feeds. He's a versatile broadcaster and a class guy.
