Conspiracy time I guess but wonder if Damien's rant after Brown's firing that it was all Fox was just a ploy cooked up with Rich Paul to whet the fans' appetite for moving on only to have it blow up when the Christie lead Kings blew up.

I don't know. I am still ok with a deal that is a huge haul and fills both immediate needs and long term potential but will miss Fox who is absolutely my favorite player that we drafted.

No haul is happening that dudes list is one team long right now can’t even put two teams against each other for a bidding war

Dude is under contract for a year and a half he can say things but he can't stop a team from making the bet. That's the main reason you do this now not 6 months from now. It's the gamble we made with Webber and other teams have also made successfully.

Ya, I agree with this. I love Fox. He's a great dude. Loves the community has never wavered. He's an A- star. Best player since Weber to wear a Kings jersey. etc. etc.

We've actually almost always had co-GMs with Vivek, the only revelation about Wes is that he may have had more power than anyone thought because they gave such a spotlight to Monte even to do public facing things he isn't exactly a star at.

That’s what happens when Wes is probably never getting an actual GM job by normal means anymore on account of him getting cancelled in Atlanta

So, let me get this straight...

Another team called us with a trade offer for Fox, whose future here is kind of uncertain, and instead of hanging up immediately we listened and then subsequently placed a call to Fox's agent to discuss.

Media get bits and pieces of this information and immediately turn it into "STUPID KANGZ ARE SO DUMB AND THE ENTIRE FRONT OFFICE IS IN TATTERZ KANGZ KANGZ KANGZ"

Am I following this right?

Also, if we had just hung up instead of listening and the media caught wind then they would have said "STUPID KANGZ CAN'T BELIEVE THEY'RE GOING TO KEEP FOX THEY HAVE TO GET SOMETHING FOR HIM BUT THEY ARE TOO DUMBZ KANGZ KANGZ KANGZ", right?
