Free agency mega thread 2025 edition!

I appreciate Scott taking a swing but I’ve lost confidence JK lands in Sac. Is Bub Carrington and a couple crappy firsts more appealing to Golden State? He could be the number one option next year for the Wiz too. Don’t really like his fit in Chicago. Nets I guess but they are such a mess right now. Don’t think the Bucks can swing it. Heat don’t have a young player they are willing to trade. In my opinion, Devin is the best player available and could replace Payton JR in his role. Then again I’m a Carter homer who doesn’t want him traded. Still don’t get why he isn’t one of Perry’s guys. Could be kinda awkward in Vegas this year

I think the longer this drags, closer to that July 6, the better for us.

This is a great point here by KC. If a better deal/offer was on the table, why is it not sent in yet? Why are we not hearing anything about it? Why are they just not resigning him if nothing out there in the trade market is appealing?

They apparently "balked" at our offer, but if there's anything better out there, where is it? Where's the offer?

This being the Warriors this definitely has to be them trying to get everything they want and more. This has the classic signs of them trying to force Kuminga into folding or playing on that QO. They are in the drivers seat here. At some point Perry would have to realize he's being played if it is that. Perry is going big game hunting with literally almost no ammo in the form of cap space or players that they've polished up and made shine. Almost all the Kings young assets have been underutilized and their older ones aren't super valuable. Guess it's worth a shot but you better be able to outrun your target when they realize it because they'll gobble up everything you've got. The Kings haven't done the necessary steps to get to where he wants to go and have it not potentially destroy the future.

Keon and a 1st is bad business for us. Go ahead, keep him at that point.

Actually, it's not that bad TBH. The Kings will have to pay Keon shortly so you'd be saving some soon to be cap crushing to a degree. I think the Warriors would be expecting something around Keegan and a pick because they're spoiled rotten and are used to everything just being handed to them.
