Fox Watch 2025

I know Fox fans don't want to hear this but the Kings FO did not have to do right by Fox. Yet, they still facilitated things to get him where he wanted to be.
They absolutely didn't, but why would a Fox fan want the team that he's leaving to get better?

I don't feel a way about it at all; the team should make moves that are in the best interests of the team. But I don't root for the team, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

To the extent that there is a "front office" problem with the Kings fostering "instability" and the like, that problem is Vivek, who of course can't be fired.
If there’s 1 major issue I have with Vivek it’s believing for so long that Fox was a cornerstone piece instead of a key building block. I’m not so sure Monte even believed he was that supermax player if the rumor was true that he tried trading Fox instead of Hali. Again, he’s almost as talented SGA but his effort and 3pt chucking were infuriating. We’re learning the hard way that believing a player is someone who he isn’t can set an organization back many years. It messes with your draft picks, who you trade, and who you sign

Yah that’s totally fine and I respect him going out that way. Burning bridges since he’ll never play for the Kings ever again, fine. Just not my style or most professionals of any type. But he’s in the same grouping as Spencer Hawes, Buddy Hield, Olden Polynice.
He's still different from those guys to me, in that I only dislike the other three.

Yah we get that you like him. The biggest difference is those guys weren’t fake, they just happened to speak their mind and not sneak diss like Fox likes to do
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I reject your definition of fake. I get that someone who moves like Fox moves is going to be anathema to team-first fans, but I don't think that Fox has ever presented himself as anything other than what he is.

Any post game clips or comments from Fox? I'm very curious as to how he took all of that.

He looked a bit overwhelmed.

I'll repeat from earlier.

Intros. 70% cheering/30% booing and a half hearted standing O

WHENEVER he touched the ball he was booed. It waned a bit, but it was pretty consistent the entire game

During the first timeout, they played his "tribute video" it was short and sweet and he got a huge standing ovation.

All in all, I thought it was a very appropriate response to what went down. He was one of our best players in Sac history. He was all in on Sac, until he wasn't. I don't love how he went out. He was one of my favorite players, but I realize that some of the things I tried to explain away in my mind were character and motor flaws. He always seemed very dismissive of any narrative that he disagreed with. He also had too many times he was disengaged in his game intensity. Spurs fans are already seeing it, and I don't think they want him. It will be very very interesting to see what extension talks look like for him.

He looks checked out on the court, which I think happened as soon as Wemby went down for the season. Said he probably will get surgery when they hit LA in 10 days. He's back in his comfort zone of playing for a team tanking in March where results don't matter and continued focus isn't necessary

But hey with any luck the Spurs will get lucky and finally get Fox the wing of his dreams in the draft lmao

Since he signed with Curry’s brand, he shoots 3 like he’s Steph but in reality he makes them at the same clip as Westbrook

When asked if he had thought about his first game back in Sacramento, his response....."I haven't (laughing),....I'm not gonna lie to you"

Can't believe much of anything in interviews with him.

They got a win over a Texas rival I'm sure they are happy. He can have the surgery now?
