Seattle’s Danny Fortson has been suspended two games without pay for improper conduct following an ejection, including verbal abuse of a game official, not leaving the court in a timely manner and throwing a chair, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Senior Vice President, Basketball Operations.

The incident occurred with 7:09 remaining in the fourth quarter of Seattle’s 115-107 win over the visiting Sacramento Kings last night at KeyArena.

Fortson will serve his suspension during the Sonics’ game at Phoenix tonight and Sunday vs. Dallas.

:D

im glad Brad only got a one game suspension (not that he should of been suspended at all)...or that it happened after Tuesdays game...cuz he wasn't there when i see them on Sunday...oh boy

nba forum----->

this is actually bad for us... the sonics are playing the two teams we are chasing, the suns for the pacific title and dallas for the #4 playoff spot... i would had prefered he played against these two teams and help the kings in the standings with sonics win

^don't be ridiculous...DF is a great rebounder...but i think they have enough fire power on that team to win even without DF...

Adelman was very P.O. about Forston's play last night, He even said they are a better team without him. Every game he starts the same stuff. I'm sure Miller would have like to have been in the middle of it with Danny boy that game. If it wasn't for the bad passes in the 4th Qtr and the non-rebounding. I like how it made Webber react.

By the way, I'm new here and have enjoyed reading everyones post. Proud now to be a member

Brad gets 1 for throwing headbands and wristbands, Fortson gets just 2 for throwing a chair.....stupid.

I don't look at it like that. I think we should help ourselves by beating Dallas tonight and let the two top Western teams duke it out. One of them will leave with an "L". Next time we confront Phoenix or Seattle we should "help ourselves" and beat them like we should. On paper we are deeper and better, albeit less athletic unfortunately. :\

Yeah, but I still think Brad's was fair. Brad's behavior would clearly deserve an ejection if it were during the game. Players can't get a free pass because the horn has sounded.

I tend to agree with RA that the Sonics are actualy a better team with out FDF. Sure they miss his inside presence but he brings no offense and puts guys to the line.

Welcome B-52! Nice name. :)

i think someone should find a picture of HELGA (is that her name?) from the cartoon HEY ARNOLD! and put a picture of Danny Fortsons face on it and then make it into a sign

hey she's a bully AND she has pigtails

hehehe

I think that this topic should be moved in the NBA forum.
FDF does not deserve to be in the Kings forum

i think its better suited here. it was directly involved with a kings game. :p

i really thought he was going to get at least 3...but im not too picky just as long as he gets some time and it was longer than Brads
