That game really showed how much the Chargers really depend on Gates. That last drive where they stalled at the endzone was a classic spot where Gates could have made a difference for them. I think the Chargers will be ok and make the playoffs, but I am not so sure they will repeat last seasons awesome record.

They could have easily won without Gates. The game was theirs. I can think of a few things that cost the game, one being the bad call when the Dallas QB was sacked on third down, but most costly, Mike Scifers shanked punt that went 15 yards. What a moron. Yeah, they'll make the playoffs and win the division. They had an awful start last year as well.

Kevin mathis, the falcon cornerback who was ejected in that fight with the eagles, is now out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. What a season, huh?
