Fight erupts

A fight erupted in the Serbian league between Partizan and Hemofarm (Darko's ex team), there was a nasty foul and everybody just started fighting...sort of like the Detroit-Indiana bout, only there was a couple of busted faces. I'll keep you guys posted about fights in Europe, every now and then there's some good ones.

Wait a sec, does that picture mean that an opposing basketball player actually landed a punch? I thought it was an immutable rule of the basketball gods that "no punch shall ever land, unless its on a fan or coach a foot shorter and 100lbs lighter than me". ;)

^^^^I think that No. 44 threw a big right hand that drew nothing but air and the momentum of his haymaker made him lose his balance causing him to fall to the floor and rip up his left eye on the corner of the first row of the bleachers.

Well, "hemo" DOES mean blood...

That's right. Team is sponsored by Hemofarm pharmaceutical company. Literally, Blood Farm (they specialize in infusion solutions).

Ohm it was ugly.

Oh Boy! Peja needs to learn from his fellow Euro's

I don't know what it is, but something "happens" to Euros when they cross the pond. Ever since mid-80's European basketball has been more and more physical and even high-skill players have had to adjust to rough playing style . Italians started it first (by roughing up former Yugoslavian team to take Euro title) then it spread from there. It is not uncommon for an important game to end up with result like 67-65, because of defensive intensity and hard-play. And yet, the same players who endured it for years, come to the NBA and get all Charmed.

i got some strange spanish broadcast when i tried to view it?

I'm not sure if that particular rule was in place, back in 1977 :D ...
