And I respectfully dis agree. I read our long standing problems that you iterate as also a strong indication that this team has some the least capable learners in the league. Since I haven't read such ideas from anyone else, I thought it useful to point it out.
Tyreke has to work on his outside game.... has 4% percent better 3pt shooting this year than ever before. Has highest FG% ever as well, and since he came back from injury in January is shooting superb 49% over past 41 game.
Cousins has to work on his foul issues.... Each year his playing time increases and his PF per game decreases.
Cousins has to be more efficient scorer.... Each year his FG and FT percentages move up by couple percents.
These are all skills that person can work on and learn by themselves.
That indicates that they are not only capable of learning but also actually learning.
It does not make sense to be capable to learn stuff that you can work on by yourself, but not be able to learn stuff that coach has to teach you... that is unless there is no good teaching/strategy/concept that coach is teaching.. which is conclusion that seems a lot of people came to.
What exactly is telling you that Tyreke and Cousins are slow learners that cannot be directly tied to Smart and his lack of coaching skills?
