Fewer Worries This Time

Looking forward to the Playoffs it strikes me that, at least from the fan perspective, the pressure is off this year.

In the past we held out hopes of a Championship and worried what disaster would strike to kill our chances.

This year I don't feel that pressure.

I think the Kings can and will beat Seattle.

I think they could beat San Antonio or Phoenix or Miami.

But I know they can't beat all of them in consecutive road series. Even if they were playing at 100% and at full strength that would be a tall order. Playing at 80% and part strength, it just aint gonna happen.

But really that allows you to enjoy the games for the fun of it. No pressure that this play or that play will cost them the title, since they have no realistic shot.

And of course if lightning strikes, all the better.

THANK YOU!! at least someone agrees with me... :D

I know were not 100%, but if we were, we can beat anyone. I know people dont agree on this, but even analysts (which totally hate us) say we can beat anyone in the league if we were 100%. We can totally beat Phoenix and Spurs... hekk... and so can Houston and Nuggets.

I don't know why you keep acting as though everyone here is down on the team.

We're not. Some of us are more optimistic than others, but we're all fans - and we have a pretty wide variety of opinions. That's why we come here.

Any team in the NBA can beat any other team on a given night, especially if one of them is playing at 100% and the other isn't.

For the record, my concerns aren't about turnips. My main concerns is that we have a gaping hole at the POWER forward position. Our current occupant isn't really a power forward; he's more like a small forward. We are going to come up against some teams with good size at the four and it's going to be a handicap.

I agree with troosvelt.

The pressure is nowhere near the same. We aren't one of the top four seeds; we aren't expected to go far; etc. We the fans can just kick back and enjoy the playoffs, yelling our lungs out for the team, and wishing them well.

That is what being a fan is really all about, isn't it?

GO KINGS!!!

:D

definetly no pressure this time around...I think for most fans getting out of the first round would be just the best thing ever...though we know thats where are trip comes to an end

I am looking forward to great things. I LOVE being the underdog team. I really could NOT care less about what the analysts say. As long as I see good effort from our team, I will be a happy fan! All things considered about this season, I am amazed that we are where we are right now. In my heart, I know we can still win it all. My head, of course, disagrees! I guess that's why they play the games. I hope my heart wins out this time. Either way, I am STILL a PROUD KINGS' FAN!!!!!!!
