Who would you consider your favorite sports personality whether it be print media, radio media or television?

I voted for Gary Gerold because I listen to every Kings game on the radio when it's not on TV for me. I like his PBP and when he sings "24 shot clock violation"...hehe. Holla!!

I used to not like Coach T much in the past. But now I like him. I agree with a lot of stuff he says.

For SacBee...I like Marty the most.

Don't really have a favorite TV sport guy.

Don't like Monty.

Grant should be seperated into 2 catagories. Grant the talk show host and Grant the NBA announcer. I voted for Grant because he is a great announcer IMO. Talk show skills not so much a fan.

I voted for Gary Gerould because I've been listening to him announce Kings games on the radio for almost 20 years and I don't remember ever thinking something bad about how he calls the game.

And more recently, I love it when he says "y'all holla back now, ya hear?". Can't get enough of that.

He has to say it as part of a promotion - the holla back play of the game. It's even funnier than the kid at the Super Bowl doing the pre game coin "flip".

No doubt!! I agree that Grant is the best play by play period. He is enthusiastic, knowledgeable. And to me he is even better on the radio. As a talk show host, he sucks. Too New York, too anal for this market.

I am not a fan of Gary Gerold. It is just my preference. He is too vanilla. Sometimes it seems like he accentuates the positives of the other team and the negatives of the Kings more than he should.

But I voted for Marty McNeal. He is cool, hip and seems to know more about the Kings than anybody else. Very balanced in his writing. Too me he is a perfect representative for Sacramento on a show like Pardon the Interuption.

Jim Kozimor - corny, but very listenable. Knows other stuff than sports

Kara Lawson - New, fresh, and knows x's and O's more than anybody other than Jerry Reynolds

Jerry Reynolds - Homey, but also knowledgeable. Kind of like Andy Taylor of Mayberry.

Coach T - Way too technical, but simple at the same time.

DISLIKES
Tim Montemayor - The biggest hyporcrite this side of Satan. Talks out of both sides of his mouth.

Aileen "Poison" Voison - She has agendas and is poison straight up!!

and whata weak flip that was...any other time you tell a kid to toss something and it knocks out a bird...

i really wish i could hear him saying holla back...sounds pretty funny

I voted for Jason Ross. I forgot I could vote for several so I just picked him. like Koz, Grant, The Rise Guys, JR can be a pain but hes pretty knowledgable. I miss him and Matt Ivey when thy hosted together. They were a good pair. I miss the name game they used to do.

Mart Mac and Kriedler give good interviews on KHTK when they are on.

Gary and Jerry are really what makes Kings broadcasting what it is. Listening or watching a game without them is just not the same.

Grant is fine as a commentator, he's got some funny catch prases, but his radio show is terrible.

McNeal gets an honorable mention.
