Favorite All-Star Game

With all star weekend coming up I just wanted to know.

Main game, you get to see everyone on the court at once, even though they don't play any D, towards the end at least they try to win.

Mine would have to be the skills challenge or the three point shoot out, mainly because they actually try in those. So I voted for the skills.

Well said. I used to be an All Star weekend junkie. I would tape everything they aired and I would make a point of clearing my schedule so I could see the events. Now, I honestly don't care about any of it. Now, if a King were participating I would be slightly interested, but not much. It's hard to think of another sporting event that has lost as much luster as this one has. Don't say the Pro-Bowl because the Pro-Bowl never had any luster to begin with...it's as bad as it gets.

For me it's a tossup of the Rookie/Soph dunk-a-thon, or the Three Point Shootout.

The Rook/Soph game is exciting basketball, but I think the three-point shootout is much more intesne...Your guy needs 3 points with one rack to go and 10 seconds on the clock! That's some drama! And I love it.

The dunk contest is fun, but digressing each year...4 people? What the heck is that? It should be eight, and it should be playoff style...Just for example, Ill take the dunkers from this year. (theoretical rankings)

#2 Andre Igudala Vs. #3 Nate Robinson

The potential for upset...I think it would be a fun idea.

I'm still drawn to THE SLAM DUNK ... but, over the years I've gone over to THE 3-PT SHOOTOUT ,,, (especially when Peja was entered).

But, even before Peja ... I started favoring THE LONG RANGE SHOOTING

I think the last time I enjoyed THE SLAM DUNK was when Isiah Ryder won it with EAST BAY FUNK (may not be the right name).

^^No you got it right...although I personally see the Vince, T-Mac, Francis competition as the high point since the old Dominique/Jordan days. Actually, the reason that the competition really has suffered is because the contestant pool has shrunk to only 4 athletes. it used to be that there were about 8 people and several rounds.

Man, I still love the dunk contest, especially with this field. Best line-up since 2003.

Also partly because I haven't seen a full one for awhile, and weekend.
