Yes i know it depends on the moves we make but i think everyones dog knows that we are going to go young this off-season with Ron's and Bibbys departure so what are you guys expecting next season? what should i expect next season? i have to point out getting rid of Musselman was a big step but now getting rid of Ron and especially Bibby will be a step back. and we will likely give them up for peanuts.

so give me you're take..

This is absolutely and completely impossible at this point in the offseason. We know nothing yet. Nothing. No idea of coaches, draft picks, FAs, trades. You could just as well ask what people think our record will be in 2010.

I honestly don't think Ron will get traded... with that said however, we haven't even looked at the workout schedule for the team. We don't know if a guy will slip to us(which could add wins), we don't know if we'll move up, we don't know what trades will be made, if we'll sign a FA with the MLE, etc. I'm not sure what your point is, we don't know what the roster will look like next year(half the team will probably be traded) and we don't know who our coach will even be. It's WAY too soon to tell.

This is just silly. And the idea of another blind poll just seems ridiculous. You have to point out getting rid of Musselman was a big step? Really? To whom do you think you have to point out that obvious conclusion? Did we have people in orbit around Saturn during last season???

i would like to see sacramento get over 45 wins. i expect that. if it will happen i dont know. this team has sucked since the summer of 2004. its 3 years later and we've been no better than an 8th seed. this franchise has become too good to continue sucking the way it has. how bout the maloofs and petrie get the *** out of their butts and make the proper moves to avoid losing seasons.

If we really knew the direction Petrie wants to go, then we'd have a much better chance answering the question. If he decides to go the blow-it-up-go young path, then 25 wins sounds about right. If he decides to rearrange the chairs with mediocre vets, then 35-40 wins sounds about right.

And yet posters will still pull numbers out of their... hats.

to me, 'expecting' is how good you think they'll be next season. I expect nothing. Not much, at least.

next season is so far away, anything can happen.

I don't expect us to make the playoffs next season, and probably not the season after that. No coach in the world will make us a decent rebounding team (Last year we were dead last in rebounding and 2nd to last in rebounding differential.)

We simply aren't talented enough all around. we have the worst starting 4 and 5 combination in the NBA. After that is addressed, we'll have to refresh our point guard position, which will expose our lack of ball-handling ability. We have nobody who can create a shot for other people on our team after we deal Brad and Bibby leaves in free agency.

notice how Joker doesn't come back to face the criticism of his own thread, we just need some clarification bro..

Joke never hangs around to discuss this stuff. He just starts a thread like this and then disappears for days/weeks on end.

We don't need any clarification.

Well, with all the information I have at my disposal, I am going to step out and make a prediction. We will win some games. :p

I bet I will be right on target with that too. I do have a crystal ball, after all.

All I want next year is for the Kings to gain some chemistry, become a team, find an identity and stick by it and work on it every game, I don't care if We win 50 or 25, I want us to find our identity, I know that may be hard to do because we don't have all our pieces yet but I do want to see some growth in becoming one. The Kings of a cuple years ago had such good chemistry, thats what made us so good, and if we can start fresh now and really focus our team will be much better in the longrun.

Amen fellow Autobot. I don't think anyone here is looking for a number to validate success. If the team plays hard every night that's all I care about. I'm expecting a lot of youth and energy, including the mistakes that will bring.

Unless...Petrie pulls a rabbit out of the hat and swings Kenny Thomas for someone of actual value, Williams learns how to run the offense out of the high post, and Pete Carril comes back for poops and giggles. I mean, we're all fantasizing here, right?

Well, I'll play the game too. I see 36 wins, and I'll be very disappointed with nothing less.

This poll is solid evidence that we are all pretty bored around here right now.
At least we have the selection the head coach and the draft to look forward to. That should make it a lot more interesting in July than it has been in May and June.

I think it is fair to ask what your expectations are for next season, when really the only move that has been made is getting rid of Eric. I think a fairer question would be what is your Expecatations over the next few seasons are. Which I would have to say mine would be to completely rebuild the team. While I dont think that is going to happen because the Maloofs have way too much say right now and are all about winning, which I dont blame them. But trying to rebuild on the fly isnt going to do anything. We might compete for the playoffs. Maybe make maybe not, but in a couple of years we will be in even worse position because we will probably have even more cap problems.
