A fun game to watch; Washington gave Chicago all they could handle. Webber went for 21/12/6/1/2, but Jordan scored a double-nickel as Chicago held them off down the stretch.

Interesting "trivia" note: Ben Wallace was a rookie on that Wizards squad; he shaved his head bald, a far cry indeed from his hairstyle today...

I watched and taped that game, really fun stuff, indeed. Fun seeing Webb, and of course Jordan go gangbusters.

Wow, did not know that about Ben Wallace...

Funny you mention this, I was watching that game tonight and I wasn't sure if that was Ben or not.

Ha... I watched this fellow earlier, and I remember watching every game of this series back in the day (as I'm sure many of y'all did as well). This ESPN Classic marathon has been great, as I've had my Tivo recording it continuously since yesterday (I'm glad I've got the 80 hour model), so I'll be catching up on this greatness for at least the next week or so...

You're going to catch up on 80 hours of TV viewing above and beyond your normal viewing in a week?

Dude, you really need to try something else...like sleep. It's good for you.

;)

Hahahaha... The marathon just started showing re-runs, so it's not quite as bad as all that, and of course we've got all of those darned first round playoff games about to start tomorrow, so I might have been a bit ambitious in saying I'd catch up with all of my Tivoed classics next week :D...

Yes, that was a year after the Wizards had gotten rid of Sheed.

Just think about it -- those complete idiots could have had a frontcourt of Webb, Big Ben, Sheed, Howard, maybe even until this day. Chased titles. Insted they blew it all up, traded everybody away, spent a decade in the lottery, endured the travesty of the Jordan comeback, of kwame Brown, and generally ****ed up about as sweet a frontcourt talent pool as a young team is ever likely to see.

The parade of Bigs doesn't end there Brick, as these '96 Bullets also retained the services of both Big Gheorghe Muresan and a young, developing Jim McIlvaine on their roster. With that pair of shot-blocking towers fortifying their intimidating stable of power forwards, the sky should have indeed been the limit for those hapless Bullets...

I only caught the very end of it. The games listed are not the ones they're showing so right now I have parts of 2 games.:( I wish they'd show some Kings but no such luck.

They traded Ben for Isaac Austin.

Sheed for Strickland and Harvey Grant.

Webber for cobweb covered Richmond and Thorpe.
