Draft Lotto Thread (2025 edition)

To me the best Giannis move is Houston for Sengun, Reed Sheppard, Cam Whitmore plus a pick or two. That would be a great way to jumpstart a new era for Milwaukee.

Maybe, the Bucks are in a good spot now if they want to move him. In fact, with all things aligning having win now teams get the top 2 picks in basically a 2 player draft it couldn't have gotten any better for them.

Dallas Mavericks go from being in NBA Final last season to this season trading 26 year old superstar for another one age 32, injured repeatedly throughout his career. Then they lose another superstar point guard to injury, with rehab presumably ready upcoming season. Then Dallas somehow gets #1 pick in 2025 NBA draft to win the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes. Is this real or a bad dream for all the other teams in the Western Conference?
When do we get rewarded for what happened with Fox. Oh now, Spurs get the #2.

Monte should have fought harder for their pick this year frankly.

I will LOL if they keep the pick though and stay on Wemby's timeline.

Meh, Wemby’s been pretty vocal about winning now so trading the pick is on his timeline.

Ok fine, MIL should ask for #2 and Fox for Dame and Giannis.

Good news for SA is they'd also have to take all the crappy guys they paid the last 2-3 seasons and no longer want.

All y'all folks talking conspiracy, but I love this result! I love it because it's a giant double bird to the tanking teams. I don't care about Dallas one way or the other, but I love the fact that a team that was fighting to make the playoffs until the very end got the #1 pick, and the two teams that raced each other to the bottom both ended up out of the Top 4.

**** tanking.

Spurs and Sixers tanked too.

Yeah, his timeline was on day 1. Besides, historically better get that ball moving because the health thing already appears to be hitting him. Although it's a flukey thing. Players that height are what they are in terms of longevity.

Miracle shot in the arm aside, I'm just glad this owed pick thing is over. It's just a shame we didn't just let ATL have our pick in 23 instead of holding it for a season.

Spurs didn’t tank. Their best player just had blood clots and their interim coach was bad. Sixers didn’t tank, they were just terrible

They tanked because they sat Fox who had played all year with the kings. Sixers were sitting everyone once they realized they could lose their pick. Not saying those weren’t the right decisions but they were actively trying to lose at the end.

I’m not sure if Fox FINALLY getting hand surgery counts as them sitting him though. Dude hurt his hand in preseason and decided to keep trying to play through it for the first four months of the NBA season anyways
