Draft Lotto Thread (2025 edition)

Hmmm Lauri + 5th overall for the 2nd overall pick and matching salary might actually be a good move for the Spurs.

That would be a good get for SA but dropping to 5th is a pretty big cliff from the looks of this draft on the surface. They could then spin the 5th out somewhere else maybe but nah, this is the Giannis package if there is one.

They honestly should draft Harper and move De’Aaron. Longterm core of Wemby/Harper/Castle probably better financially for them than moving the pick and keeping De’Aaron.

Man i don’t know trading for Gianni’s and they compete for a championship starting next year. Giannis/Wemby is absolutely filthy especially with Fox fixing his hand and being a passable shooter

To me the best Giannis move is Houston for Sengun, Reed Sheppard, Cam Whitmore plus a pick or two. That would be a great way to jumpstart a new era for Milwaukee.

All y'all folks talking conspiracy, but I love this result! I love it because it's a giant double bird to the tanking teams. I don't care about Dallas one way or the other, but I love the fact that a team that was fighting to make the playoffs until the very end got the #1 pick, and the two teams that raced each other to the bottom both ended up out of the Top 4.

**** tanking.

Moral of the story send your superstar to LA and get rewarded rinse repeat every 5-10 years

Dallas Mavericks go from being in NBA Final last season to this season trading 26 year old superstar for another one age 32, injured repeatedly throughout his career. Then they lose another superstar point guard to injury, with rehab presumably ready upcoming season. Then Dallas somehow gets #1 pick in 2025 NBA draft to win the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes. Is this real or a bad dream for all the other teams in the Western Conference?

So yeah, I know they did this to prevent teams for just tanking like the process Sixers but as a result, we’ve now seen random play-in teams move up to first overall twice in a row.
It will probably kill this team for all time but I don't care, lottery draw the entire lottery and end tanking forever.

Have all the lotto teams send a rep and each team gets one ball in a secure box. The 16 seed rep reaches in and pulls a ball for pick 16 down the line.
