I would probably watch the show to see how much of the Kings behind-the-scenes stuff they film. Maybe they'll catch Bibby screaming at Adelman on the plane again. ;)

LOL! me too.. i'll only watch the show if they include some behind-the-scenes stuff about the kings :)

i'm craving for more kings since i'm outside of sac.. ;)

I not even gonna lie!!! As bad of an idea I think it is for them to do this, I will watch every single episode.:o I would rather watch Doug and Jackie love one another than to watch Whitney call Bobby for the um-teenth time "The Kang of R and B".

Most of the time we don't really discuss it, since it has been discussed so many times before and can get into more political topics that aren't really appropriate for our fun basketball forum.

Good, good comment.

Some things are better left unsaid and our various opinions about Doug's relationship are among those things. Not because of the relationship itself but because - as uolj pointed out - the tendency to broaden the subject.

People have and are entitled to very strong opinions about the relationship, other NBA relationships, etc. but we've learned from past experience that those opinions are best left unsaid here on what uolj calls our "fun" forum.

Thanks all...

When I first heard about the show, I really thought it was a joke. But in the last 2 days I have heard so much about it in TV....... and now that I think about it, I am sure that I will tune in just out of curiousity. I want to see what it is that they will show...... Gotta be better than "who's your Daddy?"

An hour of nothing but blank screen would be better than that show, from what I've heard. I couldn't watch it. Somethings just are too bizarre...

**cough** Jerry Springer **cough**

A part of me wants to watch this and another part of me doesn't, but I'm not gonna lie I'll probably be the number 1 viewer. LOL I always did want to see how they act behind closed doors, and if Doug really IS happy like he says he is, and just how ridiculous she is towards him. And maybe after the show if I like what I've seen I'll have a little more respect for her and their relationship, cause if he truly is happy, then I'm happy

OK I have to confess some dissapointment in Mr and Mrs Christie here. Any one who has watched The Osborn's, Growing Up Gotti, Anna Nicole Smith or Jessica Simpson's reality shows has to know that the subject of the show is prety much the butt of a joke. Few if any people tuen in out of respect or admiration for the subjects at hand.

I found this article. You guys should read it. Its about them.

Sacramento Kings guard Doug Christie and his wife Jackie are currently in negotiations to star in their own reality television series, according to the Toronto Star.

Christie has been married for 11 years. He uses a hand signal while on the floor to acknowledge his wife, who is often in attendance to see it. What's more, she has been known to speak to Christie via cell phone during road trips.

And before the Raptors traded Christie west in 2000, The Star says team employees tell stories of Jackie forbidding her husband from being interviewed by female sportscasters.

Remember Jackie's pocketbook assault on the Lakers' Rick Fox a couple pre-seasons back?

So move over Ozzie and Sharon —or Nick and Jessica?

"It'll be about me and Doug and our relationship," she said last night, sipping a beer in her third-row seat at the Air Canada Centre. "There's been a lot of misconceptions about us over the years. A lot of things have been misconstrued. ... Now the truth will come out."

The name of the show and the network on which it could air are not known. But it seems fair to suggest the show might attempt to expose the life of an NBA player who is often chided for his commitment to his wife.

"I don't have Doug on any leash, under no thumb, no nothing," Jackie said. "But we want to send a message that it's cool to be committed. We respect each other. He respects me."

The newspaper said the prospect of a show about the Christie's drew smiles in lockerooms around the NBA.

"I don't have much to say about (the Christies)," Raptors' guard Jalen Rose said. "My whole situation is a reality TV show. ... There's no shame in my game. Follow me around. Put a microphone on me. You might not like some of the things I say about a lot of people, but ... at least I'm honest."

Christie's teammate, Greg Ostertag, reportedly suggested the idea of a show depicting the life of a basketball-playing bachelor.

"Doug's a family man. If you're going to do a show about him, you've got to go to the other end of the spectrum, where guys are single, living on their own, got their boys living with them," Ostertag said.

"You've got your absolute crazy guys. You'd see a lot of partying, a lot of video-game playing."

Where's Wilt Chamberlain when we need him?

I always find the use of the term "respect" particularly gruesome in a relationship defined by insane jealousy and the assumption that your partner is going to cheat on you if he so much as speaks to a member of the opposite sex.

BTW, general "reality" TV question...but you can't tell me that you seriously think you're going to get a real glance inside the somebody's live with a giant camera 10ft away staring them in the face, do you? I mean come on. How natural would you be? Just let it all hang out and look like a jerk? Or maybe, just maybe, put on a show.

MAybe he is just planning what to do after he ritires. Maybe this is a secret code or somethink to the Kings that he will retire this year.............................It could happen!! ;)
