Domas, partially torn meniscus. (Shams)

Cool! Will the national media give us excuses like they do Hali and Indiana? Doubt it. I’m sure Vivek and Scott Perry will somehow be the blame for Sabonis not having a single healthy week this season.

This team still wouldn’t be very good but that’s been the main crux of this disaster if you ask me. You can’t be missing 2-3 rotation players and starters all year in this brutal conference, especially when your margin for error is already tiny. Now that’s where the mismanagement comes into play. No real depth or pieces that make sense together

This is why, despite his protestations, you sit a guy like Domas when he's playing injured. It's unlikely that his ribs had anything directly to do with this meniscus tear, but you could see him favoring his side and grimacing out there nightly. There's a good chance he wasn't running normally as a result.

This isn't bad for the Kings' lottery prospects, but it does mean that they're not likely to trade him anytime soon.

Draft day trade to acquire another pick, perhaps???

Good point haha then again Indiana down here with us
And, again, if they, too, were smart, they wouldn't be in this position to begin with. Although, in their defense, it was the NBA Finals, and the human body is so stubborn to the point that, no matter what, he wasn't going to sit it out, so I guess we can't really blame them for it.

I honestly don't hate a "Domas put on ice for a year, massive tank, get rid of the rest of the jabronis, and head into next year with Domas+Kids+high 2026 pick" plan

In one of the game threads I already asked "does management specially play Sabonis and want him to get serious injury?" Seems this has happened... Another stupid thing (of many) from team office.

I agree. Domas returning to his role as offensive hub with a bunch of well-motivated kids curling around screens and running all over the place and giving some kind of effort on defense sounds like an infinitely more engaging watch than... whatever the f*** that was tonight.
