OMG my gf and her mom both have dish and they are both just fuming

Plys my GF just got Dish paid an extra $6 to get the Kings games added to their package?
and she just got contract so she would have to pay big penalty to switch to direct tv

Wow wait til she gets on line with Dish she is gonna read them the riot act

Hopefully they can get negotiations moving again?

I loved my ATT Uverse when I was still in sac. If I still lived there, that's what I would have. Other then that I'd go with DirecTV. Comcast is overpriced.
I heard ATT UVerse was very bad quality when it comes to HD. I have a 56" Samsung TV with HD and 1080p and I don't want to get this if it has bad HD quality.

If there isn't, there should be a loophole that lets you out of the contract in the event the total package you signed up for is no longer available. Luckily I'm no longer under contract so I'm dropping their a$$ on Tuesday when I get my Comcast hooked up. If I was under contact still I would be infuriated if they didn't let me out of it. I'd probably just stop paying them and say F em.

Well my gf chated online for a bit complaining they said penalty for canceling committment was over $300 , yeah i suppose you could refuse to pay but Im sure somewhere in the fine print they reserve the right to change programming and she doesnt want to ruin her credit by non payment

so unless they get it settled soon, she will be screwed royaly

Comcast has no contracts to sign unless you want to lock in a better deal, but I have no contract with them. Just before the price was going to jump up to $230 per month I told them I want the same price ($190) I am paying or I am leaving for their competitors. They transferred me to their cancellation department and they got me everything I have and wanted for a lower price ($160) than what I was paying before the price jump.

Where I live there is no cable, DSL, or other land-based options. Have to go satellite for TV and wireless for broadband. Really limits the choices on some things.....

If you have DishNetwork, you can watch this game on WGN (a Chicago TV station) on channel 239. I just called customer support and they told me about that, and also said "we're trying to figure something out with CSNCA". Thought I'd share and let you know.

Everyone with Dishnetwork NEEDS to call and complain. That's the only way something will get done in a timely manner. Thanks.

When I sent an email to Dish, this is what I received

Dear DISH Network Customer,

DISH Network and Comcast are in contract negotiations regarding Comcast SportsNet California. At this time, DISH Network has been unable to reach a fair and reasonable agreement for continued carriage of the channel with its owner, Comcast, our largest cable competitor in the market.

We know this programming is important to you and we will continue to negotiate with Comcast and are hopeful we will be able to reach a fair deal. Please visit www.fairdealforyou.com for more information.
Thank you for standing by our side. Your loyalty is truly appreciated.

Sincerely,
DISH Network

I cancelled my dish and will probably get u-verse. They tried to give me a one time $5 discount to stay...I was like "Wow!"...They really put alot of effort in getting you to stay.

Just got done going through an online chat process with DISH's initial low level chat person who then sent me to their "customer loyalty" chat person. Throughout the chat i was courteous and reiterated how i am generally happy with the service, but that local sports programming is an important factor in my maintaining a TV provider and i needed to assess my options in canceling or maintaining my service with them. I was able to confirm that I was not under a contract commitment at this time (which may have helped) but after the low level chat person offered me the same "one time" $5 credit, the "customer loyalty" guy offered me a $10 a month credit for the next 12 months with no new contract needed. So I have no Kings games on at the moment, but will save $120 for the next year. Seems like a nice gesture even if it did take a while to get it. I guess I will give them a little more time to work out the contract.

Sucks for Dish customers..
If anyones interested, I work for AT&T and can hook it up with Uverse. Its got CSBA and pretty much everything else you could ask for. Never had Dish or DTV but I can definitely tell you it destroys comcast on every level.

I wish Uverse was available... ATT keeps telling me... "Eventually we'll bring highspeed to your house!". 10 years later... nothing.

The guy from dish I talked to said that generally things like this are resolved within a month... I don't really have a choice but to wait since we just signed a 2 year contract with them about 6 months ago.

Destroy Comcast in Phone service is probably the only thing.

Is this resolved? I'm in Sacramento tonight (for the CIM) tomorrow, and the hotel I'm at has Dish. Was hoping to catch the game vs MAVS, but seems like I'm out of luck.

Someone please give me the good news that it's resolved.

He failed to tell you that Dish only charges 17.50 prorated per month left on your contract. I already mad the switch to Comcast.

Screwed? If you consider not being able to watch our HORRIBLE team lose night in and night out, count me in! I don't consider this being a loss. The Kings are a disgrace to Sacramento right now. They're absolutely TERRIBLE!

We are long time Dish Network customers. We live in the Sierras and cable is not a very good option up here. I noticed that 409 (CSNCA on Dish Netowrk) was no longer listed in the program guide so I call Dish Network today and could not get a straight answer. They said that they are still in negotiations with Comcast sportsnet CA and hope to get a "fair deal". In the meantime they did give me $5.00 a month off for a year and 3 months of free Starz. I also subscribe to NBA League Pass and they think I am in the Kings broadcasting area and block all Kings games. Dish had no answer for that and does not know how to contact League Pass. If anyone out there has any idea how to contact NBA League Pass please let me know.

Thank you for your information. I submitted a trouble ticket with League Pass this morning.
Sorry man, you're SOL. I live in Truckee too, technically we are in the Sac market according to the league pass fine print (150 mile radius of Sac). I signed up for league pass broadband this year since suddenlink doesnt provide Comcast CA thinking id be able to watch the games. No dice though. The NBA did refund my money though. DirectTV is the only option up here right now...

I did get a reply from League Pass. They go by your IP address and not your zipcode. I have att.net for my DSL line and the IP address comes up Folsom, CA. I am keeping the league pass because I can enjoy many other games. Maybe dish will settle something soon with CSN-CA. What do you think of Suddenlink? We have been with Dish Network for 12 years. It is a lot better than cable was when we changed over.
