MINNEAPOLIS - A year ago, Minnesota Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng was a key piece to the Louisville Cardinals' NCAA championship run. On Selection Sunday 2014, Dieng made his most meaningful impact to date at the NBA level. Making his first career start, replacing the injured Nikola Pekovic, Dieng recorded his first double-double as Minnesota topped the Sacramento Kings 104-102 at Target Center -- officially eliminating the Kings from playoff contention.
