@Spike made a few truly awesome selections. Super Mario World, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, NHL '96, Street Fighter II, TMNT: The Arcade Game. Love it! Those picks made this decision harder than I expected, because @Löwenherz's list possesses the largest number of games that were in serious contention for my own island. Ultimately, it tilted his way as a result. I mean, come on:

Both lists have great games, but Lowenherz has the 2D action I crave with Super Metroid and Mega Man X. Ocarina of Time and SMB3 don't exactly hurt either.

And I nearly got Spiked by a group of kunoichi who moonlight as beach volleyball players.



Wait, if they’re female ninja who presumably work at night, does that mean they sunlight as beach volleyball players?

No matter, Spike, your island is a ton of fun with the pinnacle of OG Mario platformers, what I’m told is the best Sonic, the only game where you can make Wayne Gretzky’s head bleed, the most classic of GameBoy classics outside Tetris that kicked off Pokemania, and of course the Mac Daddy centerpiece of my 8th birthday party: TMNT: The Arcade Game.

… I also kinda liked Burger Time that one time I played it on an emulator.

In any event, was lucky to survive that one. I learned a lesson, and will hopefully be better prepared for the next round.
