Denver Snow Impacts Sacramento Air Travelers

Denver's snowbound airport is not expected to reopen until noon on Friday, prolonging the ripple-effect of delays affecting departing travelers at the Sacramento airport and elsewhere.


A massive storm slammed into Denver on Wednesday, closing Denver International Airport and many highways.


All flights from Sacramento International Airport to Denver were canceled today. Six were canceled Wednesday, leaving many passengers stranded in Sacramento.


The Denver airport also serves as a transfer point for many passengers heading to other cities.


Airport officials are uging passengers to call carriers to see if their flights are affected by the Denver shutdown.



I think the Kings catch a major break here. Because there is nothing worst than Denver on the second night of a back to back. After tonight, they will be off until the 27th. They can spend time with family, have a wonderful Christmas, and maybe get themselves together to end the month of December on a positive note.

Would they expect the team to fly in at noon on Friday for a Friday night game? I wonder if there's a rule about how many hours ahead of time the team needs to be there?

I'm not counting on it being postponed yet.
