Demarcus FREAKING Cousins

Any questions?

I mean that end of the game stretch was something special.

Cousins gets the offensive board and putback versus the best defensive center in the NBA to take the lead.

Gets a steal on the next play and tosses it to Ben for a layup.

Takes the charge to get the ball back to seal the game.

My god I havent seen something like that for a very long time. He took over the game when it counted on BOTH ends !

When I think about Cuz's future, I get an evil grin, kind of like this.

WRONG! I have a question.......

Why does the dude have to be, well, just that dang good??????
Yeah we saw games like this his first year. We saw more of them his second year. Same with third. His fg% has increased every year and he is taping 50% on the shoulder. Difference in this year and the last 3 is its EVERY FREAKIN NIGHT. Even with foul trouble in the past that ended it. Now sits a lot of first half tonight. He didn't lose composure he came out in 2 nd half and imposed his will.

You know what? I just kind of expect these nights from him now. It's not fair, but I saw this thread and thought: "He's really freaking good, we can probably stop making these threads. He does this every night." The fact that he's only 23 and will still be getting better for the next 4+ seasons is pretty scary...for the rest of league.

I love this tweet:

Everyone who keeps saying we overrate DeMarcus needs to watch this 4th quarter, and then kiss my ass.

After reading some of the posts during the game thread, I see some people are still ready and waiting to criticize Cousins. I don't understnad that at all. Sit back and enjoy the show.

Soon. It'll take Kings fans time to relearn how to watch a game and not worrying about a million different fears coming to fruition. It's been so long since I have been able to just watch a Kings game and expect everything was going to go as planned!

That's probably it, isn't it? It is very easy to criticize. Sometimes you need to take a step back, relax, and perhaps compare our guys to their guys to get the proper perspective. There are some who justify criticism by saying that all they are doing is pointing out what a guy could do to be better. Perfection is elusive.

We are lucky to have him.

WAIT WAIT WAIT. We're winning?? This is not good.. There are 7 teams behind us.. 6/7 are from the east. Wow they're tanking really bad. But the point is, this 2014 NBA draft is going to be booming with prospects in the top 7, Parker, Wiggins, Embiid, Randle, Smart, Exum, and Gordon in no particular order. Then comes in the wave of the sub-booming prospects, Willie Cauley-Stein and the Harrison twins. I think if we land outside of the top 8 range then we should trade our pick back for two 1st rounders. I think there are several teams this year who might get multiple 1st rounders. One in the mid round and later round.

Kings need to get back in tank mode!

Nah, although losing brings back a better prospect , these players need to get used to winning. The culture needed to change big time as players were becoming too complacent with losing which is not good. Bring on the wins gimme Cauley-Stein and Im a happy man

We're due some good luck for a change, right? Hopefully we make a run for the rest of the season, finish with a better record than the Lakers, just miss the PO, and still draw in the top 3 for the draft. :D

I am not and will not root for losses. Those will come often enough on their own whether I want them or not.

I think we are past the point of needing a rookie to save our franchise a 10, 11, 12, pick can be traded with someone and get us a key player to forward our progress

With the lone possible exception of a shotblocker, because there is no way to get one of those as cheaply as you can in the draft. On the open market its $9mil and up. if you can get one for 4 years at $3mil per, you are doing real well.

Losing has been great for this franchise the last 7 years  Tanking for draft picks has not proven to be a successful endeavor.

roblem is you have to draft one and wait 2 years before he is worthy. So to get one with a win next year mindset you have to pay the 9 mil or at least trade for it
