This whole game of his was off the hook nuts.
Back to back clutch threes down the stretch to regain the lead. They tie with under a minute, then he absolutely bulldozes fellow Olympian for a +1 and had so much swag flowing out of him it caused the mouthpiece to fly out, then says to Lillard get that weak stuff out of here to basically seal it. All of this after demolishing them all night single handedly.

Was the exclamation mark and exactly what you need to finish off a game like this.

Major major props to DMC for keeping his head.
Portland threw everything at DMC. They were def trying to get into his head. They were manhandling him and there were so many spots where DMC could have absolutely lost his head. Where any player could have lost his head......

Greatest game and overall performance by a Sacramento King in a very long time. Tyreke and the comeback in Chicago was also great. 2002 was so very long ago. I feel like a Fan lost in the desert. Parched for something to cheer for........and now this........Thank You Boogie, you made this Fan very happy

Great game by Cousins, single-handedly got us the W (with a little help from Lawson). But to make posts like these ... smh.

I been wondering for awhile where Boogie stacks up on an NBA SUPERSTARS list and how many those rare specimens actually are in league of about 400 players - surely no more than a dozen.
My list in no particular order:
DeMarcus Cousins
Kevin Durant
Kawhi Leonard
Steph Curry
LeBron James
Paul George
James Hardin
Russell Westbrook
Anthony Davis
Chris Paul
Honorable mention big time stars but not quite making most exclusive superstar club: Giannis Anteokounmpo (will be on THE LIST soon), DeMar DeRozan, Jimmy Butler, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade (once superstar for sure), Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard plus a few other large NBA stars.

Eh, at this point, I think the consensus is that Cousins is a really good All Star and franchise player, but he's not a Superstar. For your list, I'd probably take out Paul George, AD, and maybe Kawhi. PG is a good player, but he has been a pretty inefficient in his career. Kawhi is a good 2-way player, but I don't think he does enough on offense to be regarded as a superstar. I think AD will get there, but right now, he's out of it.
To be a superstar, you'll need to carry your team to winning basketball. Most importantly, you also need to be a leader. Cousins hasn't been able to do either.
Only a small group of players in the NBA want to win as bad as Cousins. He has uncommon desire in the same league with Jordan and Barkley. That gives him challenges every time he is on the floor. I continue to see progression in his shift from arguing with refs to antagonising his opponents. He is becoming a scary person to try to stop. His antics intimidate some people. He over came a Portland team that tried to maul him and gave up 55. Cousins is amazing and very entertaining. He is the best show in town.
Let them hate. I was there last night. I have never felt anything like the electricity in that arena when he was tossed and then called back onto the court. Those people who are trying to say a majority of Kings fans want him gone are full of crap.
Boogie doesn't want to leave. At what point will you and some others realize that?
Shake your head all you like but The Hammer is right. What I saw last night was the greatest overall performance by a Kings player I've ever seen - bar none. Boogie isn't perfect but that's what makes him Boogie. Quite frankly, my personal FAN (not mod) opinion is people need to get on the bandwagon before it runs over them. He is beyond description...and in person he truly electrifies the whole arena. I will never forget last night's game.
I do not mean this personally because I do not know you off this board, but that statement is ludicrous. I'm not sure whose consensus you're trying to represent, but I know 17,500 people who would vehemently disagree with you. You may not like Boogie, but to deny just how rare a jewel he is just makes no sense at all.
If I had any doubts about DeMarcus being a superstar, they were erased last night. He's the real deal. His jumper just keeps getting better and better -- look at that list of the top 10 scorers Tetsujin posted and see how he measures up against the other superstars in the league. He can face up from the three point line, cross it over, reverse pivot and finish with an up-and-under like DWade routinely now. And he's money from the free throw line. How are you going to stop a guy that big with that many weapons in his arsenal? Nobody else in the league can do what he does.
And VF is right about the energy in the arena. For 3 quarters it was the same "who's going to step up here other than DeMarcus?" type of game that we're used to watching but when he took over down the stretch it was like it was preordained. There was never any doubt about what the outcome would be because you know greatness when you see it and he was not going to let us lose. Of course other teams hate this guy. We would hate him too if he were demolishing us and stomping around like Godzilla while he did it! Nobody said that you have to be like-able to be a superstar. As much as I wish he would settle down at times when he's begging the refs for an ejection, that fire is what makes him Boogie Cousins. And Boogie Cousins is not just a superstar, he's our superstar dammit!

YES -- what can we get for him before his trade value plummets with another sacbee type outburst
Turns out Rudy is the guy we should have traded -- his lack of fire is his Achilles heel and it's even more pronounced when you put him next to guys like IT and DeMarcus. But oh well, you live and learn. He's doing well in Boston and they love him for it so I'm happy for him.

if you walk into the community and have to worry about 30% of the fans wanting you out, I as a proud human would take it into consideration. I can only speak to that

The toughest thing is I am not sure the Kings have any assets besides Cousins to trade. and by screwing up the past five drafts we have to rely 100% on free agency and trades

Screwing up drafts in the past does not mean you can't still use it as another tool to help build a team in the coming years. That's ludicrous.
