Demarcus Cousins and other stats

Maybe he's a late bloomer? Despite his play, I always thought Hawes did have great potential.

Anyways, Cousins needs to dunk more. Less finesse flips, more gathering himself and going up strong. ESP47 makes a great point about Cousins going up for instant putbacks after O-boards, only to get them swatted cause they're bad shots.

I dont think Cousins forces those baskets around the rim because he's panicing or being dumb. I think he actually believes that he can make them. On most nights, he's the biggest and strongest guy out there. Compared to other centers, he's got great timing and quick hands. So im not ready to call him out on those shots because i too think he can make them. His FG% would be a bit higher if not for some of those unfortunate times when the ball just wouldnt go into the hoop. If he continues to fail though, then he should start looking into passing back out and restarting the possession.

He tends to have three guys crashing on him and he can't lift them all up and dunk them. He has to have an outlet pass.

That is true. He should pass out of a triple team, lol. He's done some pretty nifty stuff against double teams around the basket that makes me think he can do these types of things if he plays his cards right.
