We were still potentially building on 22-23 last January. I don't think Fox was playing poorly to get out of Dodge. I think he was on a 3-5 year exit path that included him getting that super max first.I don't know what you mean by this.

I could see LA potentially doing something like this with Luka if it is as bad as Dallas thinks but San Antonio gave up so little. Unless he has B-Roy's knees I can't imagine.Fox fails his physical and voids the entire thing at the deadline

Remember January of last year where Fox took a vaca for the entire month? Remember nobody really knew what the heck was going on? We never did get a sensible answer. Given what we've seen this January, I can't help but wonder if Fox was having some serious trade discussions with management last January - the month before the trade deadline - and ramped down his game accordingly in order to put pressure on management. Or maybe he thought he was going to get traded and wasn't terribly motivated. I guess we'll never know, but the whole Jan 24 period was quite curious.

Still that would just be reason to sit him out and tell him to get the surgery and see what next year looks like.Maybe his fingers are just really really cooked
I wish him the same success that all great Kings player of years past once they’re traded from Sacramento. Same success that Richmond had in DC, Webb in Philly and Tyrese in New OrleanIt makes all the sense, and he's about to find out.
unprotected picks are always valuable. Look at the situation with Dallas, they owe a 2030 swap to the spurs that they didn’t worry about and now they might need to given no Luka. The Thunder own a top 6 protected pick from the Sixers this year. They were supposed to be contending but because of injuries that could be a top ten pick.
6 first round picks and 4-8 seconds is probably top 12 in terms of best pick packages in the league.
I agree I am not super excited about the 2031 even if it turns out to be special. I could be dead then. One of the 1st rounders is six years from now. Discounted for present value, it's like a 2nd rounder today. Then you have to consider that all picks are not equal. Some picks have the potential to be top 5 draft picks; others mid 20s or lower, which rarely give you much. If we actually owned two or three Washington Wizards (or Atlanta ) picks over the next few years, then you're talking. Otherwise I view it as a lot of picks that won't mean a whole lot.
If Wemby resemble anything like Chet, they’re done. Fox is not Shai.I agree I am not super excited about the 2031 even if it turns out to be special. I could be dead then.
But the 2027 Spurs pick isn't too far away and I don't think San Antonio even knows what they have yet and if Wemby gets hurt, even like a little baby injury they have to be cautious and shut him down this early in his career?
I don't like it and can't believe we didn't get a genuine real deal 2025 first out of this thing but I don't think we should be mapping the parade route for the Spurs.
Honestly, I can see that. Domas doesn’t seem to care much for the big market and he looks like the type that just want to sip on his wine. We are the closest to wine country
Given that caption, Domas might actually be a King for life.

I love this man. Shout out to him for including Huerter in that as well - class act.

Loooove Fox so much but this “i wanted to end my career here” is BS unless he’s talking about years ago lol there was no need to even put that in his farewell letter like Luka did. Stop it.
They are also riding him hard while Chet got a redshirt year and can enjoy time off to be ready for the post season. If Wemby resemble anything like Chet, they’re done. Fox is not Shai.
They'll never be the Lakers or GSW but they are pretty dang close.Lol, trying to gaslight us on the way out Foxy?
"Whoever is playing the Spurs" just became my second favorite team.
Monte isn't a closer.
If the leaks last week are to be believed Monte is the talent picker, Wes is the negotiator.Monte is a poor negotiator and has been through his career. We paid a 1st for Huerter and more to give him away. How many picks has he used to dump: Davion, Barnes, Holmes?
Not to mention picks wasted on TD, CoJo etc.

No Wemby no post-season for San Antonio. I don't see that changing in the next two years. They are so far away from good. And if Pop doesn't return...
Honestly I think they will get Kerr.Even if Pop comes back, I don't think he'd stick around for too much longer with his age and health issues.
Hey! Maybe they can hire Brown! Fox loves the guy!
WTH is wrong with Matt George. Bulls aren't even a good team. I'm not a LaVine Stan but get real!
Matt George does know that 24 PPG on 63% TS is really ****ing hard to do right?
