ill be rooting for the Hawks this year too. Go get BI and make a run now that the bulls are tanking. no top 8 pick for you spurs
Yeah I knew Lavine was shooting well this season but I didn’t really realize that he was shooting like prime Klay this season until I looked up his contract on BBRef after the trade was announced.I will add Lavine is clearly an underrated player. I mean even me from word of mouth / public perception you initially think he's some low% chucker sort of player (like a Kuzma) ... But his CAREER %'s are pretty great. 46.8/38.7/83.1 ... For reference here are other star guard's career percentages:
Curry: 47.2/42.5/91.1
Booker: 46.3/35.6/87.2
Mitchell: 45/36.9/84.2
Lillard: 43.8/37.1/89.9
Jaylen Brown: 47.8/36/72.2
Fox: 47.1/33.3/74.4
#'s aren't everything but offensively he compares favorably to the elite guards in the game & strictly considering %'s he's probably 2nd behind Curry which is shocking now that I looked it up.
Some small things about the trade... Carter will now be our second pg from the bench? He is not really a point guard though? What's the point of giving McLaughlin to the deal and not getting another point guard back? Tre Jones (that ended up to the Bulls) would fit us I think, should we be looking for someone to play behind Monk (that we didn't really know he is a point guard as well) in the market?
It's the first time in many years that Kings have a raw talent in the roster, Sissoko is 20, all our rookies 2 way undrafter players the past few years had been 22+ year old. Haven't really seen him in action apart from that Carter debut in G-League but hope he can become the person that trade will be remembered for in a few years from now.
Chicago receives Kevin Huerter, Zach Collins, Tre Jones, and a 2025 first round pick (CHI).What the heck the Bulls get out of this trade?
I'm trying to tell people they sleeping on Lavine man. Guy is legit he's just been injured.Yeah I knew Lavine was shooting well this season but I didn’t really realize that he was shooting like prime Klay this season until I looked up his contract on BBRef after the trade was announced.

you could make a really good argument that Lavine is just as good of a player as a Fox
Mason Jones is also on a two0-way with us still and if we move Isaac up to a normal roster slot, we’ll probably give that open two-way to Boogie Ellis. The Kings have plenty of ball handlers. All of Monk, Carter, LaVine, Domas, and DeMar can run offense. Even Keon showed flashes last season although he's struggled a bit this season.

And they got their full pick back in case they accidentally make the play-in again this seasonThey basically got out of LaVines deal. That's pretty much it.
I also like Lavine. He plays best when he is not the primary ball handler.I'm trying to tell people they sleeping on Lavine man. Guy is legit he's just been injured.

If you have the most valuable piece in a 3 team trade, one that is highly coveted by your potential trade partner and you dont come back with a lottery pick or a single legit prospect than you suck. Plain and simple.
Spurs got everything they wanted and kept everything of value. They won massively. We lost. All this talk about “we finally got muh assets!” in a couple of faux 1 round picks and handful of throw away 2nd rounders is a massive cope.
This is how NBA works. The Lakers must have a prime HOFer on their roster at all times and all small market teams must bend the knee to big market teams.
That's the problem though. We had two good but not great years with Fox and Sabonis that resulted in one payoff appearance. Sure it's nice to pick at all the mitigating circumstances and say our ceiling was higher than that but at some point it wasn't and it's time to try something new.
I'm glad we are shipping out Fox's apathetic ass but I would have liked a DNA change.

Cousins at least always spoke his mind instead of cryptic bullcrap trying to be a nice guy ‘ I never request a trade”. And you know what? Even with Wemby, I still don’t think his chance of making the all star is much higherI’ll tell you why because Cousins wanted to be a King. I will not forgive Fox for a very long time if ever. Maybe when he announces his retirement and plays his final games I could appreciate it but he’s dead to me and I wish him and the Spurs nothing but ill.

PJ Washington- 15.5 mil
Daniel Gafford- 13.3 mil
Bobby Portis- 12.5 mil
Brandon Clarke -12.5 mil
Bob Williams- 12.4 mil
Jonas- 9.9 mil
Might be all worth it if we can swing a deal for PJ and me and @twslam07 can finally be vindicated for our love for him. But I think these are the sort of names you're looking at roughly to fit into the TPE and use some of this draft capital.

No chance Zach plays tomorrow right?
Chicago isn’t too far from Minny but his wife just had a kid so I wouldn’t bet on it.No chance Zach plays tomorrow right?
I doubt it. Physicals and all that.
AD is injured with no clear timeline for his return lolFortunately we have a relatively soft schedule after that (assuming the LOLMAVS don’t turn into juggernauts with AD) which bodes well for working LaVine into the lineup ahead of Fox’s return to Sac in a few weeks
