D'Alessando press conference (split)

How come no body ask about Tyreke's situation? I'd love to get an idea from coach Malone or GM D'Alessandro about him.

They do not talk about Tyreke trying to make folks forget that he is a free agent so his price will be as low as possible.
They are so shrewd :p

I'm excited after seeing and hearing from Pete. I love his enthusiasm and you can just tell he's going to bring back the excitement we used to have in Sacramento.

Great moves so far, Vivek!!

If there was a special font, you guys still wouldn't be able to pick it up.

Let's start getting some font ides. lol jk

Anyways, D'Allesandro seems like the perfect candidate. Works well with a salary cap (perfect for a small market team obviously), he is enthusiastic and excited about this team, and he wants success here. He also seems to value the younger talent (he didn't specify but I assume Tyreke, Demarcus, and a couple others) which what I want in our GM. I am also glad that Vivek strongly supports him as well. Seems like we have a strong front office that can makes some turnarounds in the near future! :D

I heard DA being interview by Napier yesterday. Naps asked him: out of all the coaches and gms he's been around, who influenced him greatly. His answer: Carneseca, the St. Johns coach. And then he proceeded to tell the story of when he was in the coache's office and Carneseca pointed to a feather duster hanging on the wall. Carneseca pointed out that at one time they were beautiful peacock feathers;now they are just feather dusters. The moral of the story: humility and transient nature of life. I have a feeling DA is going to be relating that story to some Kings' players when they get too full of themselves.

LOL, that story adds a whole new meaning to being "Proud as a Peacock";)

If you like, but I fancy myself an Abadi MT Condensed sort of guy.
It says, "I'm serious, but there's an element of mischief." Those serif fonts? They're for the guys who are too full of themselves.

Personally, I like comic sans MS. It's clean and easy to read, but with just a hint of the mischief to which you refer.

What? There's no hint of mischief in comic sans-it's the flaming bag of dog poo worth of mischief!

Sorry for bringing back thread, but just wanted to share a little quote, just stating that D'Alessando was infact Denvers #1 choice.

"It became a very easy decision to hire him and bring him here after a couple dominoes started to fall."

One domino was assistant GM Pete D'Alessandro leaving to become general manager for the Sacramento Kings late last week.

"Pete and I discussed the position, and I think he's going to have a wonderful opportunity in Sacramento," Kroenke said. "Once that happened, I didn't waste any time and it was a quick decision for me. There was one person I wanted to bring in and immediately discuss the job with, and that was Tim."
