Dal/Phx game 1

Josh Howard sprained his ankle and is doubtful to return. That doesn't help the Mavs. Nice to see House out there.

We are absolutely screwed without Howard out there. He is our best defender - hands down. Don't like this at all!
 
Well if you boo Finley you must boo Nash. Look during the regular season we cheered the hell out of Finley and Nash's return. I was fortunate enough to go to both games and the entire arena (including myself) gave both of them standing o's.

But this is the playoffs baby. They're not on the Mavs and so they're the enemy. Doesn't mean we never appreciated what they did for us in the past - just means we don't appreciate what they're doing to us presently.

EDIT: not having Howard out there is really hurting us on the offensive end just as much as the defensive end. hope he comes back by game 2 or we're really gonna be struggling

Howard going out sux, I've come to like him a lot, and is so damn key for the Mavs.

Griffin (still think he would of been a solid addition to Kings) and Daniels I expect to step up. AG has some already.
 
Can someone explain to me why Mavs have the home court advantage. Suns were 2 Mavs were 4. What gives. Is it because the Mavs beat a 1 seed. That doesn't make any sense to me though. I thought it was strictly by your seeding.

Nope. Strictly done by regular season record. Mavs had the best regular season record. Regular season record does not necessarily equal seeding, thanks to the division leaders getting spots 1,2,and 3 regardless of conference record.

I know I've said this before tonight but that Raja Bell 3 just reminded me again how sorely this team needs Howard. TNT never showed a replay - anyone know how serious it looked?
 
beats me, it should've been a flagrant on Damp.

Too many injuries going on right now (add Raja to the list)...hate to see that happen I'd love this game even more if we had both teams with full, healthy squads.
 
I hope Raja isn't out for the series. He's one of my favorite ex-Mavs. Back when he was a free agent I really wanted the Mavs to re-sign him.

Injuries take so much away from a series sometimes. hope these two teams get back at full strength and fast.

Nash has got to be one of the worst defender of the league today. But covered by great playmaking and excellent teammates.
 
Game over. Good game by the Suns they were really good tonight - Mavs need Howard back ASAP. Not sure about how easy it will be to beat the Suns w/out our best defender.
