CWebb on The Apprentice?

VF21, sorry if this is a lounge topic. They will be doing an event where one team has to manage a baskatball charity event and our own CWebb is supposed to MC the event :)

Oh boy. Talk about mixed feelings... I HATE the show The Apprentice. But it's Webber? ....

I don't want to give any spoilers (like it is a big deal :) ), but here it is :
Don't expect to see CWebb tonight. They are talking about him, but the day of the actuall event will be in the episode next Thursday. And, towards the end of the show they get a call that CWebb is thinking about canceling so I don't even know if he will be on the show.

Highlight the part in the middle to read.

vj9999 - I don't think that's a spoiler. Since CWebb isn't actually on the show, you have - in fact - saved me from an hour of pure torture that would have been followed by anger, angst, temper tantrums, etc.

I know the feeling VF21. My wife subjects me to watching the show (although after watching it for awhile, wheater you like it or not you get hooked on it :) )

I just made the font really small and white so it somewhat blends with the background (although quoting it kind of reveals it so I guess it is not a foolproof method :) )

anyone know if cwebb will actually show up at the event on next week's episode. did they pretend he wasn't going to make it to make it hard for jen? otherwise trying to back out would make chris look bad.

I watched....(for the first time ever mind you)

"Reality" TV is so predictable/unreal/fabricated :( :rolleyes: ...And this Jen girl is not a good boss.

We'll have to wait until the season finale next week to see if CWebb makes it or not. Jen is a horrible boss!! She shouldn't be in the final two. Kelly is so going to run roughshod over her and win.

It's pretty much the only show I watch all the time. Jen bothers me to no end. By the way, I'm guessing that this whole thing with C-Webb is scripted and he will eventually show up. Anyone remember when Mike Piazza got paid 20K for brushing his teeth???

I am with you on this one! I really don't like the show..... but I was flipping through my channels last night and just heard something along the lines of "You mean C-Webb is not showing up?".....

That really caught my attention!

I think he may show up too? The show end as if he wasn't. Season 1, we weren't even sure if Jessica Simpsons was going to show up, and she did. ;)

When I heard Jen said "Chris Webber"...I asked my sister if she really said Chris Webber. LOL. And surely enough, it was our Chris Webber! :D I hope he do show up. It'll make the show much better! ;) I also don't like Jen too, I hope Kelly wins!

I am a faithful Apprentice watcher, much to the dismay of the hubby, and when they showed the teaser for next week's show talking about Webber not showing up, the hubby looked at me and said, "Hey! Maybe they can get Matt Barnes to do it!"

I don't know why, but this struck me as being so freakin' funny!

I would be that he ends up showing, and that the threatened cancellation is a preplanned plot twist to make Jen nervous. I love the Apprentice, and will watch it, so if you hate it just go ahead & tape it. I'll let you know whether or not it's worth your time! I'm hoping to see C-Webb. I loved the part where they were talking about him. The guy had to explain to some of the girls who he was, and he did a brief history. Then Pamela said, "Hmm, what does he look like?" and the guy was like, "Tall black guy." Thanks, that narrows it down to 75% of pro basketball players!;)

sooo if i'm gonna watch this show, (yes, for you cwebb, i will ;) ) can someone fill me in on what's happening? i mean why is webb expected to be there? what will he actually do?

i would just hate it if i missed it (just like mike's interview on TNT last night :( )

nevermind.. cwebb himself just confirmed that he's not gonna be on it..

i posted an article from the sacbee in the kings forum.. webb's not happy about the apprentice using his name..

In general, I hate reality TV, especially reality game shows, but I tune in every week for The Apprentice. I remember seeing the scene where Jen goes off on the agent, saying that they sold her on his being there, and the whole event was being billed around his appearance.

The impression they gave was that Chris backed out at the last moment, after he had agreed to the appearance. Man, they really made him look bad, in my opinion. If he doesn't show up, it's going to make him look like an unreliable jerk. So, now Webber says he never agreed to it, huh? Would be nice if he was the kind of person you could take his word on.
