Money well spent. Sometimes saying that the emperor is wearing no clothes is a good thing. Too bad they didn't have a video of the foul.

Makes it official martyr status. More attention drawn to the issue. Well done Cuz. These guys are in for another 10-15 years of this rivalry.

I like where his head is at but he should have just gave him the business with a nasty foul and get the fine and the inevitable 1 game suspension out of the way.

Actually, no.

You don't want to get the reputation of a head case. DMC came into the league with an image (the reason he fell to us at 5). While his behavior has been largely good, such fouls, particularly on NBA's poster child, shall focus attention on all the wrong stuff. Once you get trapped in the image, forget getting borderline calls, you shall be wearing a bull's eye on your back not only from the refs, but the league officials. Hard fouls by you shall be termed flagrant, while flagrant against you shall be treated as normal, technicals shall rain, fines levied and suspensions handed out. Such an image is best avoided, at least till you establish yourself as one of the major major stars in the league, who can get away with some stuff.

While it's too much of a stretch to make such comparison, players such as Rasheed Wallace and Artest have suffered from this.

Put a dress on Blake Griffin already. JT could not get any justice with the refs last night and DMC got very little.

Deep inside I hope that Blake gets what he deserves, however that may come.

My preferred scenario? Cousins wins a couple of championships and stops Griffin every time in the playoffs and shows him that substance>dunks wins every time. That is the best revenge one can get.

I don't care much one way or another about the fine. I just hope that the rest of the team takes this Griffin stuff personally, just like Cousins. If they take the game personally they have a good chance of winning.

Tonite could be a war. It will at least be interesting. B-ball is an in your face game compared to other team sports. Players identities are not hidden from view by uniforms. There is a lot of physical contact for long periods. It is a contact sport, but should not be a collision sport like football, hockey, and lacrosse excpet for a few exceptions.

There could be some fireworks. It will be the high flying mental lightweight against the lunch box carrying big man that is willing to work hard for everything he gets. This is why people don't just like to watch basketball, they have passion for it.
