Cat: some refs take it to heart, some refs hold grudges, i dont know if that was a grudge hold, you know he wanted to hurry up and get out of there, seems as though how good that game was. you know i think we deserve a chance at the replay or something. you dont just rush out of there knowing that you messed up. should refs get fined for messing games up? i mean the top offices protect them to the fullest. youll find us in a second. we do something to you, and you go and cry to david stern or somebody, in a second. you know if i get fined for this, so what, i dont care. i know im not a bad guy, im not a bad kid or whatever you want to call it. but i think they go unscathed. i mean its blatent. you dont give a remote.... you dont even try at all to say, look at your other refs, or shawn murray (???), first he grabs him, then its a goal tend. then you dont even go to the table to look at it on tv. great game... it aint no blowout, should you get fined for that? we'll get fined if we say something about them, cos theyre cry babies. yeah we're cry babies too but we're competing. when you compete, i dont know nobody in no proffesion or no competition, that does not so called cry, or... its competitive.... reffereing is different.

yah the game is over but you gotta love the heart and desire he has with the kings and the game. plus if hes willing to throw his money away for his strong opinions, thats always a thoughtful geusture too ;)

on the other hand, that's suspension stuff right there. And we need him this week.

And furthermore, that's REALLY putting yourself in danger with the refs. I don't care, if I'm a ref and somebody makes statements like that to the press, how do you think I react? Is Cutino making things better for us? Or harder?

Cuttino talks about something that people who sit on their asses and comment on it don't understand. You are playing in the game, you are competing and you want the people on the floor to get it done. You don't want somebody who is not playing in the game to decide the game or take something away from you.

Agreed. How many questionable calls go Cuttino's and the Kings' way in the near future? Especially following the two T's, one each on Webber and Miller. Anyone have any details on those two? Especially considering the fact that had those two T's not occurred, the game would have been tied at that point.

Ah well, my apologies, I have not read the rest of the forum tonight, I may find my answers in another thread. :o

brad's turn to fork up some change: (clearly in an i dont give a crap mode with the tobacco in his lip...): such a s****y call. everybody should react that way

i don't care...im glad Cat said what he said....he didn't just speak for the Kings he spoke for all the players in the NBA

cuttino again wants to be more generous with his money: (after he cooled off in the shower, hes still hot): i think they should get punished also... personally. they go home and they dont get punished.
reporter: have you seen the replay of the shot?
cuttino: yah ive seen it 5 times. shawn marion grabs his arm, then amare stoudamire goal tends the shot, its in the cylandar. simple as that. theyre (refs) rushing out like someones gonna beat them up. aint nobody gonna touch you. they get protected like theyre (unknown explative) the government

I would like to agree with you, but sometimes you just got to get it out of your chest. The Kings have gotten screwed time after time after time, and it feels good that a Kings player says something about it, because this is getting ridiculous. First the Spurs game and now this? I wish Webber and Miller say something as well, or any other Kings player that feels they should voice their opinion.

I would much rather they do their talking on the court..

That goes without saying, but sometimes you just need to get it said to make it clear that the Kings are getting sick of all this bad calls.

From a PR perspective suspending Cat might make it worse. Sure he'll get fined, but I can't imagine he's gonna get suspended. The league can't be that dumb...can they?

Do you? Even if the most likely outcomes are a) no change, or b) you get even LESS benefit of the doubt on calls? Do you really want to walk around with a Scarlet Letter on your chest as the wimps who show up the refs? how the hell does that help anything?

Suck it up guys. Bad call. Play through it. Finish your plays around the rim like men and we aren't even talking about this.

They have suspended guys for less inflamatory comments about the refs. Hope not, but Cat has certainly given them all the ammunition they need if they want to do it.

I just got back from the game but I heard Cat on the radio post game. Hey the guy was pissed for good reason and he showed TEAM spirit. Im not sure how much of Brad's tirade theycought on camera, but I suspect both will be fined, but beceause the the no call was SO bad and so crucial I think the leage will cut them some slack. But even if I am wrong and Cat and/or Brad are suspended the team may find the cause worthy rallying point. The alternative is for the players to sit back passively offerning eachother no support and accepting bad calls. Remember that Goal tend willbe palyed on Sport center for days and the 3 blind mice will see it, hear it and have to answer for it.

Personaly I like what I heard from Cat if for no other reason than beceause it show he cares about winning, about his team and about fair play.

Don't think the league will even refer to it as a no call. They'll just say it was legal and they will get enough people to back them up on it. From what I've heard so far, many people don't even understand the goaltending rules. I've seen people argue on whether the ball was going up or down when that is a seperate infraction all together. So, in other words, the league will just rely on the ignorance of people to help ignore the issue.

Oh I don't expect the leage to admit th call was bad, but I also belive that when the tape is reviewed (expect the Kings organization to sumit a game tape) leage offical will see it and although noe will officaly remark on it, it has to be in their mind.

Instead of worrying and b$tching about refs after games Mobley should worry more about getting back on D instead of blowing kisses to the crowd afer a made three while Amare blows by him for a dunk.

These were not all of Cat's words, the transcript leaves out comments he made at the end comparing the referees jobs to others who work in coal mines, getting up at 4:00 a.m., etc...intimating that ref's actually have cushy jobs, hehehehe...

You go NBA B-Ball player. ;)

I predict lots of trouble for Cat over his statements, too bad. Also wish some of our guys (Web, Cat in particular) would construct complete sentences when being interviewed, I know it's hard in the spotlight but GAWD!!!

After the last play in the 2nd and while walking off the floor Web was mouthing loudly to the refs, which got him his T.

Exactly ....

Cutino's anger, frustration, disappointment is felt by many-many players and fans.

I'm sick-n-tired OVERALL of the officiating the NBA is putting out there on the court.

Stupid people at ESPN make it seem like we were complaining about a foul and then show up the replay and say it was "clean".

oh man i would love to hear that tirade on the net

i hope KHTK puts it on their website ( but knowning my luck they won't)

I wasn't able to see the game (I live in the Detroit area), but I did see the block (on Sportscenter) and it was clean. Goaltending is goaltending if the ball is on it's decent to the basket area. I TIVO'd it and he got the ball at its peak. I WANTED it to be goaltending too...but it wasn't. This isn't to say that they didn't get shafted in other areas of the game, which is par for the course when it comes to our beloved Kings. BUT, they did get the goaltending call correct. They probably should've gone to a replay, but I don't think that's a reviewable call by replay by NBA rules...
