K well the offseason is approaching as well know and there are a lot of teams that are close to being good or awful(or they're like the knicks and just close to being less awful) like TWolves, Sixers, etc. What do you think they they'll do?What should they do? Well yeah I guess I'll talk about it in this topic I made...
edit: and if you don't feel like reading all this stuff I'll understand...
TWolves: The twolves need more scorers but Mccants has proven he can score. Do you move Ricky Davis(who plays in front of him) for a good PG/scoring PG so Mccants can get time? What about Trenton Hassel? This guy is a good defender but he's no scorer. IMO there defense is good enough with KG anchoring it anyways but I don't watch the wolves that much. Would you trade him for something they need? They have big holes at PG and C. What about their draft pick? Do they trade it for another player to put around KG or do they keep it and try to draft one of their needs(PG/C) like a Patrick O'bryant or someone?
Denver: Man this team should've been so much better this year. Yeah they had injuries but they had a chance to put more shooters/defenders around Carmello. They could've made the trade for Cat which would've been really good considering Nene tore his knee up anyways. IMO they should've done that and traded Andre Miller instead of Earl Watson because Watson can shoot and play defense(2 things Andre doesn't know how to do). What do they do with Kenyon(another player Karl has alienated) now that they've basically made a return for him impossible? That situation has gotten pretty messy and IMO too messy for Kenyon to return. How are they going to get the shooters to put around Carmello now? I think they re-sign Nene because he's young and he'll be a good fit with Carmello for years to come. Do you try to trade Andre for a shooter? Obviously you're not going to get much back for Kenyon now. What do you think this team should do?
76ers: Another team that should've been better. Do you get the defensive role players to try to make one last run with Iverson? That is the only way I see him making another run with the 6ers. What do you do with Chris? Who wants a 33 year old that can't play D and makes 20 million dollars? I'm not trying to diss Chris but I don't see a GM that is going to take on his contract untill it's a big expiring considering he's 33 and can't defend. Would the knicks do it? Do the knicks have anything that would help the sixers anyways? Can Andre Iguodala blossom into the star he should be able to be with his athleticism? Do you choose him over Iverson and Chris even though the team would probably be awful the next few years and the fans are already angry/not coming to the games? Who would you draft? Do you trade the pick to put another player around Iverson? This team has so many holes it's not even funny. What do they do?
Utah Jazz: This team should've been better but Boozer is an overpaid injury prone bum that can't play half a season. I'm pretty sure they'll try to trade him and I know he wants to go to the lakers(he has a house in LA and loves it there). Then again who would the Jazz want? Odom? Why would the lakers trade a guy who's been playing great the last couple months of the season for a guy who might not even play a couple months of the season and won't play defense? Do they draft Redick because the Utah fans will love him and he fills a need? If they did draft him their defense would get worse because he and Boozer don't play D. Redick right now would only be good for hitting open 3s(a utah weakness). They could be good next year but the west is so strong I'm not sure if I see it materializing for the Jazz.
Orlando Magic: I think this is a team that's going to be really good next year. They have a lot of athleticism, they have shooters, they have shotblockers, they have a good draft pick, they'll have cap room. I just feel like praising them right here. Whoever's their GM has done an excellent job. Still a couple questions IMO. Do you trade Grant Hill's expiring contract to get better now since you know he probably won't play many games? Who do you draft? Do you pick up anybody with the MLE?
Portland Trailblazers: This team is awful. I like some of their young players like Telfair, Jack, Webster, etc. They have a lot of things to do. They've gotta find somebody to take Miles first off. Who does their coach(the only stability in the organization) want them to draft? Nate Mcmillan is a good coach who wants hardworking defensive players. I'd draft Aldridge or Ty Thomas if I were the Blazers because they're athletic players that are good on D. I feel that the coach would love having them on the team. Some other questions like can you dump Ratliff on the knicks for an expiring contract, can you get Pryzbilla to re-sign(which he'll only do if they trade a bunch of the guys who don't care like Randolph+Miles), who can you get to take Randolph, etc? There've been a couple rumors saying Jermaine O'neal to portland and when he did an interview on PTI he didn't exactly say he wouldn't go there. He loves it in Portland and IMO that would be great for their team. Don't know if the blazers have anything the pacers would want though. Who's going to buy the team from Paul Allen and what type of players do THEY want?
New York knicks: The knicks are in an even worse situation than the blazers(hard to pull off, but when you've got Isiah anything is possible). They actually got worse by adding steve francis for a guy who didn't play. Larry and Steph HATE eachother which is obvious. Larry loves players that work hard, play defense, and pass the ball. Knicks fans should be worried, the team was so awful it already made Larry ill once this season. Another season with Steph would probably kill him or make him kill himself. How can they get rid of Jerome James? Who is going to want Marbury or Franchise?
there are some other teams I want to talk about but I'm done right now. I'll do more tomorrow. So what do you all think about any of these teams?
