) and giving his mediocre quarterback a world of comfort zone. In fact the game last night I thought Norm Turner may have lost the thing by not calling Moss's number enough and insisting on going to less talented receivers down the stretch.
I do get so amused with the stupid bleating everytime any pro sports team trades away a mega-star -- its always the same line of B.S. as if they invented it: Oh, now we'll play better team ball yadda yadda. Not how it works. Never been how it works. Certainly not how its working out for Dante right now. All of a sudden nobody's open because a certain 6'4" lightning bolt isn't streaking down the field taking half of the defense with him. (and yes there are times when it needs to be done, but its still not going to help you on the field/court)

Thats what I thought. Kerry Collins has dissapointed me big time during the first two games. Poor passes and limited vision. Moss was open 2-3 times last night that could have been TD's with a good pass but instead Kerry looks for Jordan for a gain of 0-5 yards. When Moss puts his hand up, throw him the ball. Porter was open in the endzone for the game winner last night... all kerry had to do was put the ball in the corner but instead its way underthrown just like Moss TD pass. I hope Im not the only one who thinks this guy is trash.
Raiders vs Patriots
Pats have a better defense and IMO offense and they are the world champions.
but last nights game was poorly coached and poorly quarterbacked (not sure if thats a word). Minny had a good defense to go with their Culpepper-Moss offense when they were winning. The raiders dont, yet. (although last night was impressive)
I think that has a major part to do with it and the other thing is Minny used him a lot more. I think as time goes by the coaches will realize that Passing to Moss a lot = winning, especially when our defense played like it did last night.

IMO the Raiders problems fall on Kerry Collins shoulders...he's just NOT consistent...he gets a little frazzled under a little bit of pressure and its INT/fumble city...I hate to say that he's not starting QB material...cuz in some sort of way I think that he is...but he can't be for a high profile team with an even more so high profile WR...theres this huge pressure bubble surrounding him and he cannot take it

I am really surprised as well. I am not entirely sure what is going on with the Vikes. Part of it is just bad decision making by Culpepper. I think some of the blame has to go the Vikings O-Line as well though. Birk is no longer manning the center and they just aren't blocking as well as they have in the past couple seasons. Their running game has had a difficult time getting going as well. This puts more pressure on the passing game. I think this is part of why Culpepper is making some bad decisions and sometimes chucking it into double or even triple coverage and not taking time to do basic things like looking off the safeties.
