The Grizzles would like to improve their shooting, and players like Javaris Crittenton and Hakim Warrick appear to be their best trade bait. "He has concerns with our team's shooting," general manager Chris Wallace said of coach Marc Iavaroni. "I do as well. Whether it can be upgraded in the short term remains to be seen.
"Now, we're at a period in the NBA where teams are looking at doing deals more than they are in October and (earlier in) November. Who knows what could occur?"
Rookie O.J. Mayo leads Memphis in shooting percentage, at 43%.

Think we could or should make a run at either of these guys? I wouldn't mind seeing if we could acquire Crittenton (or any of their PGs really). We don't really have any use for Warrick though. Thoughts?

Warrick is another member of the "Has His Best Games Against the Kings Club," so he's got that going for him. ;)

I have no interest in Warrick at this point. Worse than the big men we have and less potential than Greene if we tried to play him at SF. I love stockpiling young talent too, but he would cost us some as well.

Now, Critterton I would have interest in. He played well last year with the Lakers and then got burried in Memphis. I believe he is only 20 though, so depending on what we wuld have to give up, I wouldn't mind rolling the dice.

Why don't we give them Douby and Moore for their 1st rounder? Or John Salmons and Douby for their 1st rounder? Only John isn't really a shooter. Thats all Douby is. Hell maybe we can talk them into to taking Douby and KT for their 1st. LOL doubt it.

They have 8.3 mil worth of cap space left so we don't HAVE to take another contract back.

Memphis definitely can unload some of their point guards, and it seems that every one of their PGs--Lowry, Conley, Crittenton and Jaric--have all been trade convos at one point or another. I think all our fair game--obviously they'd want to sack Jaric first because he's getting old and has a toxic contract that runs for three more years and clearly doesn't match his potential, although I think he hasn't really been given a fair shake in the league and has been relatively productive as an off-the-ball defensive, tall passing versatile combo when given the opportunity.

Crittenton obviously can fit into our gung ho youth scheme, and we can use a athletic point guard/combo of sorts. Not sure about his point guard skills, but has smooth scoring skills. Not sure if we need another scorer seeing how many score-first players we have, but he's a good option to consider, as he's raw clay. Obviously a former end of bencher Laker, but one with talent.

Warrick--and I've chastised him on this before--is just an offensive minded player with athleticism. Doesn't use that athleticism for rebounding (except on my NBA live games) or for defense whatsoever--where's the blocks? steals? He's a talent that could be a sixth man of sorts for the right team, but he's past the age of the talent we covet, we don't need another offensive minded player, but most of all, we don't need another sf prototype. Pass.
