Crandall on with Grant 4:45pm

My 2 cents on this is he is not making it up. He is however being used to do one simple thing... air a competing solution that is probably getting stonewalled by KJ, ICON and David Taylor. They are not aligned in any way with the Mayor's efforts. I'm reading into this a bit, but they are probably not interested in building downtown and that leaves KJ's group out of the picture. Grant made a good point that wouldn't they need City help if they wanted this to have any sort of viable chance?

So while it is good to have some ideas, I think we are going to have to ride the horse that is being backed by the NBA because that is where Stern is going to have the influence. Now is not the time to be throwing competing ideas. ICON is not going to go all this way and shrug their shoulders and say we don't know how it will get built when the time comes to unviel the plan. They are holding their cards close to avoid the inevitable oppostion being tipped off and prepared before the proper groundwork has been laid. This isn't about counting plumbing fixtures and concession stands. It's about orchestrating this as a deal package that will sail through approval and ride the tide of support while it is at its strongest.
