hmmm i think i've got it...

someone mentioned why not involve NYK in a 3 way trade?

how does this look i feel as if its a good deal for all 3 teams and makes everyone happy

NYK trade...Qrich Wilson Chandler Morris Rose Nate 08 1st(top 3 protected) maybe
NYK gets.. Ron Kenny

Sac trades: Ron Kenny
Sac gets: Rose Bobby Simmons Morris Rights to Yi

Bucks trade: Bobby Simmons Yi
Bucks gets: Qrich Nate Rights to Wilson Chandler 08 1st rounder(NYK)

Why for knicks: well they get Artest whom they covet so dearly and they get to keep Lee and Balkman. Also they send the Players who they wanted to send for Artest

New lineup
Curry/James
Randolph/Lee/Kenny
Artest/Jefferies
Crawford/Balkman
Marbury/Jones/Dickau

Why for sac...Well they get their most coveted big man who they always wanted to get n Yi. Also they address much need depth and the Front Court (Randolph Morris). They also bring in some salary relief in a year (i.e Rose who would expirer with bibby) causing us to get kenny's contract off the books

New Lineup
Brad/Hawes/Randolph
Yi/Justin/SAR/Rose*
Cisco/Salmons
Kev/Douby
Bibby/Shakur

Why for bucks..Well they get a more reliable SF in Qrich and another prospect in Wilson...also they get a young PG to backup Mo (if he returns btw) and not to mention they get a draft pick in the up cominng 08 draft. Plus they shed some salary relief in the deal also.

New lineup
Bogut/Gadz
Charlie V/Skinner(resign)
Qrich/Chandler
Redd/Bell/hodge
Mo(resign)/Nate

Wright already signed a contract with the Warriors so I don't think they can trade him until sometime in December.

The CBA says, "A draft rookie may not be traded until 30 days following the date on which his contract is signed. Other players remain subject to the rule providing that they may not be traded before the later of (i) three months following the signing of the contract or (ii) December 15."

My take on that is that B.Wright becomes eligible for a trade on August 6th.

I think we should not get overboard with Yi. He'll be a good player for sure, maybe even an all-star someday. His speed and athleticism may compliment Hawes. But Yi ain't no franchise player. At best, he is the next Cliff Robinson, imo.

I would not trade a future first round pick for Yi. Who knows, with our team, that future 1st may net us a bonda fide star.

Our chance of landing Yi is not good. Unless Fegan says to the Bucks Sacramento is the only place Yi wants to go, then I don't see why the Bucks want any of our garbage.

If Petrie somehow lands Yi. He should be the GM of the Century. I think this deal is that impossible.
This post is full of contradictions!!!!

Yi is the next Cliff Robinson at best but if Petrie can get him he should be the GM of the century

Yikes

It must stink to have your team loss all the time, even in your dreams.

Not if its young and angling for another high lottery pick to stockpile talent. I think Yi is a PF, but other than that, make it happen + throw Cisco into the mix and see if he and Justin can light a fire under the three scoring softies of Kevin/Hawes/Yi with their hustle play. Then get another youngun next lottery to fill that PG hole and maybe the corner is turned.

Well, if I am dreaming...those arent the players I am dreaming about in a Kings uniform. But yes, that lineup would be a good start to an effective rebuild. Early stages of rebuilding can be agonizing to watch, hardly basketball dreams are made of.

If Yi does in fact hold out and threaten to go elsewhere in next year's draft, do you think the Bucks would settle for a top 10 protected 1st rounder next year? I know they took Yi at #6, but he's forcing the bucks to grab their ankles on this one if he does indeed sit out.
