Consider changing your web browser

I believe it cant read html codes. So if your a person that likes to design your page with html codes, it wont look as great as it does on internet explorer, sbc yahoo, etc.
:D You sure about that, N.U.F.A.N.?

Almost all webpages use HTML code in some form or another, and Firefox reads it just fine. Is there a particular code that you are having trouble with?

P.S. The latest extension I'm using is Adblock. I'm using it to block only those annoying flash banner ads that tell you that you can get a free iPod, PSP, $250, etc. if you make a basket or swat a fly or whatever. It doesn't help me with this site since I don't mind the unobtrusive and occasionally helpful ads here, but those other ads can be pretty annoying at times.

Well some codes you use for designing your page such as Xanga, Myspace, and all those things, dont turn out the way they usually do on internet explorer.

I've heard (but don't know) that Firefox and other alternate browsers do a better job of interpreting HTML and other web languages correctly, and that Internet Explorer is more relaxed and lets certain errors go through. I can see how that might make IE preferred for novice web page designers, since if they mess up a little it doesn't look as bad in internet explorer. Of course, I know there are a lot of fanatics out there who insist that doing things the "proper" way and following the official standards is the only way to go, which is why many of them hate IE. :)

I'm a web developer/programmer, and firefox is actually a hugely welcomed browser as far as I'm concerned. One of the biggest problems a web developer faces is developing sites that render the same (and I use that terms loosely) in various platforms. One of the biggest obstacles is the Mac. Many of the newer web technologies simply won't render in ANY browser for the Mac at all. Much to the chagrin of loyal Mac users... a huge percentage of web developers have abandoned support for Mac browsers. So, if you're on a Mac, you've probably grown somewhat accustomed to navigating to sites that either don't render well, or simply don't render at all. You can't really blame the developers, you have to draw the line somewhere, and you just can't double your workload to accommodate 1-2% of the market.

Enter Firefox. To me, it's the PDF of web browsers. Doesn't matter if you're on a PC, a Linux, Mac, or some bizarre creation living on the edge... firefox will render the page. Not always perfectly... but hands down the best all worlds in terms of overall accessibility.

Now, rather than trying to fake my way through support for Mac, I can say with all honesty: "Try Firefox. It's the only browser for the Mac that effectively render many modern sites". 'nuff said.

So... thumbs up to Firefox!

Ah yes, new browsers...hell on Earth for webmasters everywhere. :p

You can say that again! What a nightmare!!!

I prefer Firefox, too. I only use IE to check browser compatibility.

@rhuber - I agree. Thumbs up to Firefox! But for some reason, one of my sites is having CSS problems with it and it messes up the page. I've been having discussions with the server admin for the longest time to correct a possible config error that affects Gecko browsers but he still hasn't fixed it. Argh! But still, thumbs up to Firefox! :)

my friend was using IE,i tried to get him to use firefox so many times.
He finally learned his lesson when his computer got overloaded on spyware and other nasty things of that nature and had to wipe out everything on his comp. Now he uses Firefox and everything is running smooth for him
