Computer question

When my kids play computer games on my laptop it uses quick time. I hate quick time and it always reverts to being my default player when I get back on the computer. How can I trigger Windows Media Player to always be my default player??? Thanks.

ok right click any movie file pick the option open with choose program once another opens up choose window media and click the little box on the left bottom.
